Default DC To Collect Every Alan Moore DCU Story In One Volume

DC Comics plans to take every DCU tale written by Alan Moore and put them in one trade paperback collection, "DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore," which will feature sixteen stories by the writer.

Hmmm. Cool. I'm glad I didn't buy the Alan Moore DC trade they released before. This one looks like it has more stories and a cooler cover.

Wow. This is seriously dumb. DC Did "Across The Universe: The DC Universe Stories of Alan Moore" What, a year ago? Two on the outside. Which collects most of the stuff in that book save "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow." And "Killing Joke."

Why not just collect those two in the first place? Major dissapointment.

It's not quite EVERY DCU story, is it? They're missing a good 30, 40 issues of Swamp Thing there. ;)

It was released in June '03, making it just over two years.

So, yeah, this is pretty ridiculous.

I don't have a few of those, I think I'll be getting that.

The point's already been made, but I can't help also wondering why there's no Swamp Thing stories? Perhaps because there already collected?

I was only joking, actually. :) But yeah, the Moore Swamp Thing trades are all still fairly new and in print, so there's no pressing need to re-reprint any of them.

I only have The Killing Joke, though I've read a bunch of this.

Mommy dearest, but that is a fugly cover.

Can we find the person in DC's production department who's become so enamored of Photoshop and, I dunno, shoot them in the head or something?

Hush it, you being without joy! It's a cover with Krypto and Mogo in a group shot by someone who either is Brian Bolland or imitates his art very well. That alone makes it great.

It's not half as ugly as the Across the Universe cover.

How much of the cover is old? Joker is obvious, and Vigilante, Swamp Thing, and Green Arrow look out of place.

Also, how ironic is it that Batman is smiling and Superman looks pissed? :)
