Default GRAVITY #1 in stores June 8!

Hi, guys, hope you don't mind a little repost from my site to pimp my new mini-series, GRAVITY...

A Dozen Reasons To Buy Gravity, Which Arrives In Stores Wednesday, June 8

1. GRAVITY is an action-packed, character-driven, cameo-lovin' look at Marvel New York through the eyes of a newcomer.

2. He's a brand-spanking-new Marvel hero--here's your chance to get in on the ground floor and support new characters!

3. Black Death is the coolest-looking new villain since Typeface!

4. Clean, crisp, candy-like art from Mike Norton & Jonathan Glapion and vibrant colors from Guru eFX.

5. Blue Beetle's goggles live on!

6. Remember back in the old days when Spider-Man was a single college guy? Me too! And I'm the guy writing GRAVITY!

7. GRAVITY has been pre-canceled at #5 for your protection!

8. The collection will be digest-sized, which is cool, but if you want to see Mike's wonderful art in its originally-intended size, you'd better buy the comics!

9. Joe Quesada will have your babies!*

10. Because Hawkeye would have wanted it that way.

11. My mom says it's "fresh"!

12. If you don't, I'll come to your home and cry, and that's something you just can't un-see, you know?

And if those aren't enough reasons, here are nine more!

In honor of the release of GRAVITY #1, I'll be at The Laughing Ogre in Columbus, Ohio, on June 8 from open to close! That's eleven hours! Don't let me get lonely, okay? If you come in and don't see me, just ask--I'm there somewhere!

*If and when medical science makes this possible, and even then, probably not.

This sounded (and looked) great a couple of months ago, so I ordered it then...and last month....

Here's hoping for a heroic-sized helping of success for this fresh, flying, collegiate comic book!

Unless he also looks cooler than 8-Ball, Lullabye, the Chain Gang, and Spectra...I'm just not interested. :D

This is the first 'Next' title I've actually had some interest in. Do these books take place in the regular Marvel U? Are they alternate realities/timelines? I saw the Rhino was involved in a bit, suppose it's regular MU time/space, but am not sure.

Hey Sean, I got a chance to skim the dealer's preview of Gravity last night, and Wow! I am impressed!

I've been excited about this project ever since I first heard of it. The idea of a teen superhero eager to get involved in the "big city super action" is pleasantly different than the old cliche "You killed my father, prepare to die!" motives. So yeah, concept is great. Still a bit fuzzy on what Gravity does exactly, but we'll find out I'm sure.

I loved the Black Death! That really is a great costume design, one of the best "scaryvillian" outfits I've seen since DC's Silver Banshee. I hope he makes good on the promise he makes Gravity at the end of the issue, I want to see more of him.

And not to be spoilerish, but THANK YOU for using Rage that way. Someone really ought to sit that boy down and explain to him that the full-face hockey mask and bigged spiked shoulder pads scream "Road Warrior villain!" and not "Superhero".

Like I said, I only skimmed it, so I skipped the big talky bits. But flipping through and reading the "big scene" at the end, I am definitely grabbing this when it comes out tommorrow and giving it a thorough read. In fact, presuming you don't suddenly introduced Wolverine, Spider-Man and Punisher fighting Venom in the second issue, you can expect me to pick up the whole series.

All the Next titles are set in the regular MU, although Spellbinders isn't that tied into anything.
But other Marvel characters have appeared in X-23(Wolverine), Arana(Spider-Man), Young Avengers(Kat Farrell, JJJ, Jessica Jones, Iron Man, Captain America), Livewires(Nick Fury) and Runaways (too many to name thus far).
And most of them have been well received, even the Spidey-issue of Arana looked better than that book usually is.
Oh, and Sean? Stop with the shameless plugs! Do you see Brian Vaughn, Gail Simone, Dan Slott, Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir or Fabian Nicieza plugging their new titles relentlessly here? You do? Oh, carry on then... :p

Yep, it's in the good-ol' Marvel U. Rage, Iron Man, Thing and Man-Bull(!) are in the first issue.

This looks interesting and the T+ rating seals the deal for me ( no kiddy comics for me!). Now if only a certain other Next character could recieve this rating.....
