Default Dead World Question

I was wondering if anyone here picked up any of the original Dead World series and if it was any good. Got the first issue of the new series today and enjoyed it for the most part.

Back when Caliber put out some good comics. I had a few and they were pretty good, Vince Locke's artwork was the deal. I have always wanted to pick up all of the old series as well as the first app. in The Realm (as well as The whole Realm series).

Caliber really put some good stuff out back then (Crow, Dead World, Realm, Caliber Presents, etc), I wonder if someone will pick up the rights to collect some of the old stuff in TPBs.

ive never heard of Deadworld before, but just finished reading the comic earlier today, and WOW. this stuff is great. same sort of idea along the lines of walking dead, but here we've got some intelligent/speaking zombies. which adds so much to the story in my opinion, im on for the long haul.

any ideas if this is going to be an ongoing?!

AFAIK it's supposed to be an ongoing series.

As an old fan of the original series from the late 80's, I was very happy to see Deadworld come back. I wish it wasn't so expensive to get the back issues I'm missing (I have quite a few holes in my collection). Like noodlboy, I hope that someone will reprint or put them into trades.

For a good synopsis of the original series check out Caliber's Deadworld story page . They have short, long, and issue by issue synopses.

Thanks for all the help, but is it going to be referred to as Deadworld or Dead World?

Just finished the first issue of the new series and it rocked! Read some of the older series and I especially liked the Deadkiller stuff so I hope he makes an appearance in this new series. I would imagine so since Reed the writer on this series was the writer on deadkiller.

Its a little different than the original series so its good that its not just redoing the story from before. Things seem to be moving a bit faster.

there's a website for deadworld at www.deadworld.net and that brings things up to speed on the new series. It was great to see Vince Locke back on the book.
