Default The Pact: Darn good comic!

Ok, got Issue #1 of The Pact, Image's brand new comic, and already I'm finding it interesting..

The plot is simple: Dragon monster king Belloc gets pissed off 'cause his half-human sun Firebreather decided not to visit him on Father's Day. So he flies out and starts to rampage, and as it turns out, Firebreather's attempt at pacifying his father gets some interference from three other teenage heroes: Invincible, Shadowhawk and Zephyr Noble.

After resolving the problem, Shadowhawk comes up with the idea of forming an informal super-group, mostly as a kind of "teenage super-friends" deal for young heroes with disfunctional families.

Well, he doesn't say it like that, but considering the brief intro at the start of the book emphasizes how each of the four heroes has issues with his or her parents, it's kind of obvious what the main theme of this book is going to be.

Still, a very good, very fun title. Definetly looking forward to more of this series...
