Casey and Fraction discuss Image Comics in this week's...The Basement Tapes.
The crux of their discussion (in my interpretation) is that Image Comics is different than the other publishers in that it's the only place where creators are really free (at least with regards to the major comic publishers) to come up with something new and that freedom is what has and will continue to perpetuate the organization. Yay Image! :D
