Default Armor X #1 - what'd everyone think?

http://zealotslore.blogspot.com

Here's my review of Armor X #1, which came out last Wednesday. It looks like a promising series, but also potentially a controversial one, because it deals with a protagonist in something of a Columbine, trench-coat mafia role. I didn't really get into the controversy idea in my review (trying to focus more on whether or not I think the book is GOOD), but I think it's an interesting subject.

Anybody take a look? What do you think? Can an unlikeable, even frightening protagonist carry a book for you?

(And isn't that what The Incredible Hulk has been doing for 40 years?)

(Oh, and if you wanna win some comics and original art, I've also got a free contest going just a little further down on the blog.)

I flipped through this briefly at the comic store and both my friend and I agreed that the art has a nice Jurgens/Byrne look to it.

Thanks for the good review. I'm glad you gave the book a shot and liked what you have read and seen so far.

I must say though that I don't see the X-O comparison in the Armor at all except for the fact that he has some blue on him. I drew X-O every month alternating with Bart back in 94' and tried to stay away from making him look like X-O, Iron Man or any other armored character that has been done.

Keep reading exciting things are going to be happening to Carson and the cast in the next 3 issues!
