Default Casey & Scioli's Gødland

Okay, you've got to go read this press release about the upcoming Joe Casey/Tom Scioli book, Gødland. This sounds like it's going to be be kick-ass, especially if you dig Kirby's Fourth World books. Ironically, despite my love of the trade paperback, this is what won me over.

Quote:
"If there is a hook here," says Casey. "I guess it's the 'everything all at once' approach we're taking, where every issue is a complete experience. No writing for the trade. No 'Part 1 of 6' nonsense. GØDLAND is meant to be the kind of comic book that comes straight from the spinner rack," says Casey.
Ah, how nice it was when each issue of a comic was its own experience.

Newsarama has an interview up with Joe Casey about this now. It has some preview pages of this book too.

IMO, it looks great. I love the Kirby-like artwork (very Cosmic Kirby) and the dialogue & story sound interesting. I'm a big fan of Kirby's New Gods (love the trade) and I usually like anything thats Kirby-style like (Erik is doing great kirby style artwork in Savage Dragon).

I definitly think this series looks interesting. I really wanna check out the first issue at the very least (as if I really need yet another book to collect! Lol).

Hopefully this will be as cool as it looks!

interesting interview. But just based on the fact Joe Casey is writing this I knew I was going to pick it up.
