VERY promising. If I'm reading things correctly, it sounds like much of this series will be taking place in the present day. Looking forward to see how they pull off pirates in the modern day.

Salgood Sam sounds kind of like a pirate name to me, so I'm in. No realy, thats how I choose what books I read.

Not totaly sure though, I have this wierd idea called the 'one twist rule' that states that with a genre story you can only add in one twist ( Genre: pirate, twist: they're vampires) or it will suck. This could qualify as having 2 twists- Genre: pirates, twist 1: vampires, twist 2: modern day, that might suck according to my rule. But if you look at it this way- Genre: Horror, twist: with Pirates, then it may not suck, so thats how I'll look at it.

That is all.

Looks and sounds interesting, I'm definitely putting it on the "More than likely" list.

Looking at the list of books in your signature, it seems like "Sea of Red" is right up your alley.

There are seven preview pages from Sea of Red #1 over at Newsarama. This book is going. To. Kick. Ass. I love the red coloring. Seems like there was a Nocturnals book a while back that did something similar with the color orange.

Jonah's got a cool seven-page Sea of Red preview up. It's kind a a "layered" preview. You can read the script, see the rough layouts followed by the finished work. It's, like I said, cool.

I really can't wait to see this series on paper. The only problem is my expectations are pretty high thus far. Hope it lives up to them.

Default Sea or Red

So anyone else think Sea of Red rules? I mean it's great, right? I really liked it and want to make babies with the hunky creators.

That's right I said "hunky".

GREAT start to the series. Absolutely excellent. I loved the opening monologues. Caught me right from the beginning. Salgood done good, too! I thought it was nice that you put his name at the top of the credits.

I'm really curious to see how the present days storylines tie in with all this stuff.

I'm in for the long haul. What have the sales been like?

Default CALM SEAS AHEAD: ARTIST PAUL HARMON SUBS ON "SEA OF RED" #5

Mora artist Paul Harmon is pinch hitting on the art chores for Sea of Red #5. I haven't read Mora, so I'm not really familiar with his work, but the sample pages look like they suit the book well.

I was on the fence after the first issue but that second "twist" nailed it for me. Terrible!

Anyone wants a free copy of the [sold out!] first two issues, all you have to is post a reasonable defense of the comic here and they're yours. First best defense wins!
