Batman: Arkham Asylum seems to be taking all the accolades for best superhero video game, something Spider-Man 2: the Video Game, used to have(just like how TDK overtook the SPidey games).
So, if Spidey has to retake the videogame scene, what should be done with him? Continue the sandbox routine or something new? |

I'd like to see the sandbox continue, but I wouldn't mind if it were a closed environment like Batman:Arkham Asylum, however, the story needs to be really, really good if they're gonna do that. That's why Arkham Asylum was so successful.

Closed enviroment like AA. I liked it, and it worked.

Sandbox is what it should be
*I like it ported to PC with requirements like "Web of Shadows", but not too glossy a suit *In the extra option in the "Pause Menu" there must be the ability to choose level, & some mini games for stealth & collecting Items in a closed room *Combat should have it like WoS with the fight everywhere, on ground, in air, on wall, and it should have quick attack & strong attack buttons *Swinging should have more tricks than WoS *Select Costume, & every costume has it's special abilities *Like "Winning 11" there should be an option to choose weather, & have a wardrobe for "Peter Parker" if you want to play as him *No symbiote for a foe |

Gameplay: Fantastic
Character Design: Great Animation: Well Done Story: Ridiculous. A symbiote invasion you must stop & you ask villains to help, you have to fight enemies you need their help & infected friends because the Venom Symbiote had way too many spawns to shoot that fill the city in too short a time to stop it |

They're both street-level characters though?

Yeah, but they have very different movement and fighting styles. AA's close quarters style suits Batman really well because it allows you to play Batman the way we read/see him in the comics and movies. The fantastic thing about the sandbox style is the freedom you have to just swing around and go wherever. That's essential to a good Spider-Man game for me. They just need a better story than what they had for WoS.
