Default Are there still boycotters?

I know alot of people have probably gotten over what happened in OMD and are actually enjoying Spider-Man again (I finally got around at 590). But are there still hardcore fans out there boycotting ASM?

Yes they still exist,

As well as telemarketers, used car salesmen & personal injury lawyers.

Do you differentiate between boycotting and not buying? Because there are many people not buying, and many not buying anymore due to OMD.

I'm not certain how many there are who claim to not be buying in order to boycott rather than out of a lack of interest in the product.

I'd be curious though. Always good to know who to mock.

Oh God, not the boycotting thread again...

What is going to follow is about a dozen pages of people arguing about what actually constitutes a boycott. Have fun.

My position is clear. No need to do this all over again.

We could spice it up by making up terms about what constitutes a boycott. Like, something's only a boycott if it contains at least 2 badgers and 3 weasels. Or an otter and a velvet painting of Elvis Presley. But only thin Elvis, not fat Elvis. Then it's not a boycott.

I was sure that already happened in the last thread.

Lots. And lots. And lots. But for some of us, it's not a boycott. It's not just some "statement". Spider-Man in his current editorially-regressed state, with what we saw develop unceremoniously taken away, disgusts many of us.

But they couldn't have possibly been boycotts. Unless, of course, they had a written note from their doctors and their mothers were born on a Tuesday.

Yep I'm still boycotting the book and don't plan to stop anytime soon HOWEVER I did buy DR the list Spider-man 1shot so I guess technically I did break the boycott but only because I felt like if you're invested in the Dark Reign saga you can't really miss out on Iron Patriot VS Spidey.

As far as buying any issues of the ongoing ASM series however I say to hell with that.

Well, if that's the case then you have to go pick up ASM #'s 595-599. Technically Spidey vs. Iron Patriot as well.

GOTCHA!!! YOU'RE BOYCOTT CAN'T LAST!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

LOL I know!! All I gotta say is Yes I am boycotting the damn book and I really don't care if it so happens to fit your criteria for what a proper boycott is! People have a problem with saying people are boycotting the book for some odd reason (why in the hell I do not know) just accept that I am and move on

That was the American Son arc right? I actually Byrne stole that arc in my local books a million (I know I know I'm a bad/evil person ) and I'm glad I skipped it due to the fact that it had more to do with Harry and Norman then Spidey.

I could've just settled for the Spidey vs Iron Patriot action that we got in the issue before last in NA (it was a pretty cool moment but really small) and the future stuff thats likely to occur in Seige BUT I decided to go for what ultimately will probably be the definitive Iron Patriot, Spidey fight of Dark Reign.
