Default The Gift

Links in my sig.

I had the pleasure of speaking to the creator at WizWorld Philly. It's a Small Press book, that has quality that equals any of the Big Boys.

This is such a wonderful book and Raven is simply awesome!

This book is very high quality both in content and in production - I would recommend it highly to anyone even remotely interested.

Auctions for The Gift on eBay are extremely overpriced, its crazy how much people will pay for these issues. The story really doesn't do much for me. Seems like a Darkness wannabe. Not my thing, but I'm glad lots of other are enjoying it, keep it coming.

I've just seen that in the new Previews there's a listing for a Gift Set ($ 9,95), maybe that's the thre first issues (I hope).

From what I understand, the gift set is for the first five issues.

This is no longer a "small press" book too. Ravon Gregory has confirmed his title's move over to IMAGE as of like 8 or 9. :)

look for issue 8 with the I in the corner, this couldn't have happened to a better book.

also keep an look out for the first trade collecting the early issue coming from Image around the same time.

if the story keeps building up like it did with the latest issue big things are in store.

Default The Gift at Image

Great news about The Gift moving to Image. More exposure for Raven and his crew!

Am I the only one who sees how bad this Liefeld-derivative art is?

Look at the fat man's legs, as an example...

That artwork is horrible. I'll pass, thanks.

I ordered issue 7 from June Previews and will order the 1-5 pack from the July Previews. Just need to find #6 now.

You really might like to give it a chance, the story is really shaping up into something cool. A new artist is coming on soon.

Comics are a visual medium. When there's bad art, there is no chance...

Luckily there isn't bad art in The Gift. It's worth the read.
