Default Deadpool: Suicide Kings #2 *spoilers*

So we start with ol Frank Castle hitting up the last person who saw Wade, despite his latest side kick being drawn in like a moth to the flame he manages to get Deadpool's address.

Now if you're wondering at this point how the hell is Punisher going to do anything to Wade? Bullets aren't exactly Deadpool's weakness. Well Punisher's got more tricks than I give him credit for, and he gives Pool a heck of a work out before Wade manages his 'I can take this punishment, you can't defense.'.

Pool beaten battered and hunted turns to an old friend, that makes a long time Pool reader like me happy (no it's not blind al). After dropping bits of innuendo and continuity. Deadpool makes a point to visit those that put up the ad that got him in on this only to get ambushed by Punisher and then saved by another old acquaintance of them both (hint it rhymes with Snare Level)

Overall this is some good stuff, while Deadpool still gets the laughs the story continues to be more action oriented, and plays up how screwed Pool might be. It's a great change of pace really. Also the continuity nods are fantastic to a long time reader like me. Benson breaking out nods to both Simon and Fabian. Good stuff all around, and another good month to be a Deadpool fan.

I liked a lot of the issue, Kusanagi does a very good job of explaining what's right with the issue.

I really want to see where the main plot is going. This issue seemed like all of the chess pieces were being set-up, with not much payoff.

It's refreshing to see the continuity nods to Agent X and to Cable & Deadpool. Nothing that bogs down the story, but something that made the comic book more enjoyable to the old school fans.

Like me,
Tom

I absolutley loved seeing Inez again, though I do miss her usual cowgirl getup and wigged hair. I had been hoping she'd make an appearance in one of the Deadpool series and my wish was granted ^^ Here's hoping she sticks around for more than just one issue.

This is one of the best miniseries in... forever. I mean, Punisher versus Deadpool? And we're finally getting to see the Punisher make use of all the supervillain gadgets he picked up, and... heh. Needed a hand.

Looking forward to the next one.

Nice issue. I love when images get drawn that depict what Wade imagines/sees, such as the swordsman. I also like the gritty "Hannibal" part as Tombstone shows that betting is srs bsns. Fun limited so far.

Am I the only one that almost falls to sleep every time Tombstone appears? Those bits, short as they are, are so boring in comparison to everything else.

We're certainly getting a lot of great Deadpool stories at the moment and we'll potentially have even more when Merc With A Mouth begins.
