Default Doug Moench/Kelley Jones Project?

There was an announcement about a year or two ago that these two would be working together on an upcoming Batman project. Anyone know if it's still in the works?

Thanks!

The Batman vs. Invisible Man project? I think it was put in the back burner while Jones finished his Steven Niles collaboration, but I read it'd come out after that.

I remember reading it back in the initial announcement for the Niles miniseries.

It was announced at the Baltimore comicon in 2007 and was meant to be released in early 2008. Here's a link and brief interview with editor Mike Siglain: http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=128756

Whether this comes out or not, they need to give Kelley Jones more Batman work after Midnight wraps up.

I'm a little surprised his run was never collected.

One of my favorites, indeed. His run should be collected.

I enjoyed may of his covers, but never really cared for him that much as an interior artist.

Definately agree. His version is probably one of my favorite depictions of Batman (am I going to be stoned for admitting that?). Searching for those back issues has certainly been a labor of love, but it'd be nice to have all of that great art in one collection...or two.

I would think that Kelley Jones crazy artwork would fit well with some of Grant Morrison's wild ideas. Why no one has paired Jones or Bill Sienkiewicz with someone like Morrison is kind of beyond me, they seem to be a pretty good fit. Maybe it would end up a bit too wild, but I think it would work pretty well.

Tom Mandrake is another veteran artist I'd like to see do some more Batman.

Are you kidding me? That would be nuts! I'd love to see that.
