Lightbulb Siryn Appreciation Thread

I didn't see an appreciation thread for Siryn around here, so I hope you all don't mind that I made one, I feel she deserves one.
I'll start off by saying X-force and X-factor were what really put her out there in the spotlight, gave her a more major role than remaining on Muir Isle, just assisting Moira Mactaggert, you could feel ension between those two...

Why should you care about Siryn?

She's been around longer than a lot of these new characters and has longevity, and throughout the years, she's been portrayed consistently. She's not just Banshee's daughter, but she's her own character, living outside of his shadow. She's been in relatablereal life situations, whether that be a life changing injury, losing a baby, or her alcoholism, and even then, she was strong enough to overcome all those obstacles and come out on top in the end. She's also one of the few recognizable red-headed females in the Marvel universe, seen sometimes with a little bit of freckles on her cheeks. She doesn't look like another Jean Grey, but she has her own look going on for her. She's not over-elegant, she likes to keep it simple, and can be pretty without being slutty or glamorous; can pull off jeans and a tee and still look great. Her powers have developed into a force to be reckoned with, whether it be sexuality or raw anger that's her weapon, and overall, I appreciate Siryn.

What do you like best about Siryn?

What are your favourite Siryn moments?

Let us discuss what you think about her!

Enjoy!

I'm eagerly awaiting the Deadpool/X-Factor crossover when he finds out she's had Madrox's baby. Especially because he can kill dupes at will until he feels better about the girl that got away.

Always liked Terry, especially as deputy leader of X-Force.

I liked when she would play off Deadpool.

Siryn is my favorite X-Woman. She most definitely needs to be appreciated. One of my favorite Siryn stories was the stand alone issue after she had gotten her throat slashed by Feral. Great story, great art, and just an all around touching Siryn story. I really hated the John Francis Moore never got the chance to finish the Siryn story he had started during his X-Force run.

Smile Siryn was right

Would it be nice to see Banshee back from the dead? I ask because when he was alive, you never really saw much interaction between Siryn and her own father. The most familiar scenario with the two together was when she was first introduced to him as his daughter (Uncanny X-men #148), other than that, I can't really recall any times they spent together. It'd be nice if he came back and they spent more time together, plus I'd love to see the look on the rest of X-factor's faces when they see she's right (hopefully)

I LOVE Siryn. I cant wait to meet her baby. I really hope its powered. I mean, we won't know until its older, so who knows when that'll be. But I do hope its a mutant. I also cant wait for her to just have the baby, so we can see her in action again.

X-Force #42 and Generation X #44 had some great father daughter moments. I think it would be more interesting to explore her relationship with him now that he is dead. Especially now that she is to become a mother.

Hello. My name is marvell2100 and I'm Siryn's biggest fan of all time. Heck, I'd have her children and I'm a guy.

I never knew that, thanks

I am familiar with her interaction with Black Tom (X-force #31 I believe), and thought that issue was great, plus it explored her drinking problem too. Her X-factor appearance boosted her coolness though with the whole woman flirting with her and stopping that woman who killed herself instead of letting Siryn take her in, and just being action packed ruled, but it showed she's vulnerable too (X-factor #5). I like the realism that she's been through, and it's cool she's pregnant, but it's a shame she's missing the action. She'd make a nice mother, since she has that whole soothing/hypnotic voice ability

Weren't you the one who made the Siryn Thread a few months ago?

Why not just revive that thread instead of making a whole new one?

Favourite Siryn relationship:
Siryn and Warpath?
Siryn and Deadpool?
or
Siryn and Madrox?

I don't think Siryn has found the one yet. Most of those relationships have been a bit dysfunctional. If I had to choose I'd go with Warpath. They have very solid friendship which is always a good place to start with.
