Default First written pages of Deadpool #2

Daniel Way is knockin this s#$% out. I'm lovin how this book is lookin right now.

I kinda like how this theme is recurring. First Deadpool was chopped up by Weapon-X, then in the beginning Cable and Deadpool he's gettin chopped up by The One World Church, lol Now in the beginning of his new solo-book the Skrulls are turnin him inside out too.

"Why does this keep happening to me?"- Deadpool

lol That's classic to me. Good stuff so far. I have a feelin he's gonna have some crazy way of destroying all the Skrulls they made from him, lol that s#$%'s gonna be epic.

Where can I pick up my "I Believe in Wade Wilson"/"I Believe in Daniel Way" buttons? I debated picking up the issue, since I'm stretched pretty thin as it is, but I'm glad I got it. As my first Deadpool issue, it was an awesome start, and I hope it doesn't end there.

Yeah alot of people were/are givin way a little s$#% for his run on Origins. I really think Daniel Way's biggest problems with Origins, came from havin Dillon as an artist.

Now I can't draw nearly as good and Dillon, so I have nothin but respect for the dude, but visual stimulation is half of a great comic. If Way is writtin cliche Wolverine dialogue, which is corny as it is...he's gonna need some siccccc visual poses from Wolverine to pass Wolvies dialogue off. Now I just don't think Dillon can draw epic enough to compliment Wolverine's corny a$# "Dirty Harry" vibe. Cause Wolverine is as corny as "make my day..." You know? That's Wolverine.

Cause look at this, begining of this recent Deadpool book, lol Way has Deadpool spilling his heart out about his life's atrocities, then he has the Skrull's acting like they didn't even hear or understand or even care what Wilson just said, then they gas him out. lol That's Deadpool bad-luck to the essence. Deadpool is finally able to get serious...and the Skrulls could careless. Typical life for DP.

For just 7 pages, so far it makes up from a bland 1st issue. Somthin tells me Way is gonna TKO this book. He's ontop of his s$#% for this one.

I'll be the voice of opposition and say I thought issue 1 was so bad and unfunny, that I pretty much have no interest in issue 2. And I've always been a Deadpool fan.

I'll say, "mediocre" at best.

And Way's got a lot more black marks on his resume than Wolverine: Origins.

The Venom series that went nowhere, and his Ghost Rider run come to mind.

I fear for Deadpool as a character under his pen. I hope for the best. Getting a mediocre first issue, for me, was a relief.

Maybe that's Wade's plan.

I actually only read his Agent X book and Bullseye mini series. His Agent X wasn't that great but I enjoyed the Bullseye mini series enough to keep reading. And thats exactly what I felt with the first issue of this DP book, that it was kinda bland. But I liked the action, I liked how Deadpool did his thing to set a trap, and it was funny enough for me. I think this book could be wayyyy (no pun intended) worse than it is. A lot worse, but it actually looks pretty solid. I wouldn't say I'm completely let down, at all. But yeah, I definantly like how these first 7 pages got into the mindset of Deadpool, for whatever reason I enjoyed that a lot and can't wait to read the rest.

I could see them all annoyin the s#$% out of the rest of the Skrulls. What would be kinda funny is if they all got manic and started becomin incompetent and careless, just like Wilson. Blowin s#$% up, puttin everyone's lives in danger etc etc

Having Wade's DNA they'll probably turn on each other...

I'm preordered through five issues.

If #2-5 are like #1, I likely won't be reading #6. The Pool-O-Vision was silly, but I can live with it. However the multiple personalities talking to themselves, I cannot. It's not funny in the slightest, and by halfway in was actually already annoying.

We'll see.

I wasn't a fan of Pool-O-Vision when I first saw it used in Wolverine: Origins, but it was much funnier in this book than it was over there. Plus, I was won when Wade said that Pool-O-Vision was his Point-Of-View (word humor gets to me).

About the multiple personalities, I get the feeling that they might be explained away, because while one box seemed to narrate, the other seemed to either be Wade's thoughts, or even the thoughts of the narration box (which is so weird that it works). I don't really know whether Wade has dealt with multiple personalities before, but having him argue with two separate voices in his head could provide some comedy for a while.

I'm still not comfortable with Deadpool having split personalities and hallucinations, and it being treated like normal Deadpool canon.

Nor with him not being as fun or zany as he could be.
