You always impress me with your designs and how creative and thorough you are. But, I chuckled at the disk storage in "The Nest' computer room. Today's technology would need alot less space....just think of all of the technological advances that could change The Nest today....keep on keeping on!

If only someone had, oh I don't know, a thumbdrive in those days. Here's a quick sketch of what Nitehawk/owl might look like today. I did this after a long day at Dragoncon in Atlanta this past weekend- it was good times. ![]()

Unrelated to my book, here's another one written by Dan Rafter. I've been working on this forever... here is progress so far. Crits welcome.

I just posted mine on my profile. Sorry about the shades. If you must know the shape of my eyes they are almond shaped and a color of between green and blue....and also if it's important, "I like pie!"

Here's the latest page...
Upper left we have YABs posters Bert and Sunshinegirl, then Travel channel fans may notice a bloated Andrew Zimmern in the next panel. Front and center and serving up some PIE is our own Sparta! ![]() Would love to have some feedback on this page.

To comment on this last page exclusively: Your facials expressions are so right on. Eating, to most people is not just a means of survival, but in this age it is a reward system to ones-self, an art, a celebration. You have taken that to it's extreme limits. The characters are so like they are making love to their food and there is nothing distracting them from what is at hand. Your pacing is getting so much better because it is clear that while the patrons are splurging, the servers enjoying what they do, you also describe the lone characters pain and sudden enlightenment.
Overall the story thus far...your inks are superb, your shadowing is amazing and I am seeing you doing things with texture that almost seem like photographs....and the lighting is also leaps and bounds. I know in other posts, I have shared the wonderment of what your work would look like in color, but with your textures....that wonderment is slowly ceasing. |
