Default Shouldn't the events of MC be a more valid reason for the X-Men to stick together?

I'm not seeing why the X-Men feel as though breaking up is the best solution for them at this time. They have the baby, which in itself is an inspiration and glimmer of hope that their species is not doomed, and one of their greatest foes has been defeated... That alone should give them a little space to move forward with finding a way to propogate the species.

And not only is breaking up the X-Men a foolish idea, but what about those that gave up their previous lives with friends, family to be a part of their organization.. the students? Not only is breaking up a bad idea, but it's also dangerous, because it makes it that much easier for them to be picked off one by one.

I understand this is a transitional period for the X-Men, and the deaths on both sides have been steadily rising, but given their years of experience, leadership, and determination to a just cause, it would appear that they're turning their backs on themselves.

Thoughts?

You don't even know how it ends or why they separate so how can you say it's a foolish idea?

This problem will be solved in the next issue when Predator X chows down!

I'll just say that the reason for the break up is completely valid. It will make sense.

Just wait till next week.

Yup me too...Scott get's pissed at Xavier cause he let's Cable take the baby with Bishop jumping through the portal after him. So Scott doesn't get either the baby or Bishop.

My guess is a little more dramatic than that...

Not necessarily. Some of Marvel's decisions and the reasons they have the characters give for them haven't made sense to me.
