This is an easy choice for me: Mike Carey. He did an excellent job on X-Men revitalizing characters like Rogue and Cable and making Karima and Lady M cool and relevant X-characters. Plus, correct or not, I often thing of him when I consider the main storylines that led to Messiah Complex, so I consider him the key part of the entire X-line.

i voted Yost. He did a fantastic job on both the X-23 mini and on New X-men. Plus he comes to this board on a regular basis, which shows to me that he's dedicated to listening to our blither. Quest for Magik was as good as the X-books got this year. Although both of the guys he's nominated with are fan-freaking-tastic too.

PAD. Always solid, even if I felt the Isolationist story was a bit MEHHHH.

But OMG Nicole hit Layla in the head with a ROCK.
And then Layla was like OMGSHINYPENNY and Nicole was PWOOM!! by a train!

So I voted PAD.

Yost, Carey, and David were all amazing in 2007. I love X-Men and Carey is a fantatic Writer but I think David did better, and Yost did the best.

Brubaker, I was referring to. Well okay, he's fourth place, no doubt about that.

Carey had to deal with crap when he took over X-Men. He made it a worth reading book again, as well as the characters included

Tough choice, I could close my eyes and pick any of the three without regret. In the end I gave it to Carey for his great use of Cable.

I went for Yost, as NXM has gotten consistantly better (to the point of basically being the best Xbook now imo), X-23 rocked and Emporer Vulcan is fanservice at it's best. He's truly a gentleman and a scholar.

Mike Carey, as I think he's a complete writer. I love his plots, his storytelling, his sharp dialogue and his characterization.

Chris Yost and Peter David are amazing as well, and provided a lot of great moments last year.

Peter David.
Madrox is probably the most developed and well-written character I can think of, and it's all PAD. Plus, he made Layla the ultimate in awesome :)
