Please vote for the artist you would like to advance to the next round.
This poll will be open for 24 hours and will close on Thursday November 1st at 3 PM EST (12 PM PST) [Please ignore the time that the poll states since this poll was created earlier than the start time]. In order to vote, you must be a registered member of the CBR Forums. Please only one vote per person. If someone is found to be using multiple accounts, your votes will be subtracted and your accounts will be banned. The winner of this round (as in our top vote-getter this time) gets to draw an original pin-up to be published in a future issue of Invincible. The two contestants with the lowest amount of votes will be eliminated from the contest. Feel to post your comments about the voting. Here are the assignments for each contestant for Round 2: Jose Holder Dan McDaid Caio Oliveira Nick Pitarra Jon Reed Charles Paul Wilson III ![]() Last edited by Brandon Hanvey : 10-31-2007 at 01:06 PM. |

CPW,
You got my vote again, but only just barely. Oliveira was hot on your ass in this round, for me. I feel he better conveyed his character's emotions in his pages, than you did. Invincible came off a bit flat for me, same as the judges. But you pulled through with your impact shot those damn well-executed backgrounds and layouts. Even though your Ocotboss DOES come off looking a bit scared in the second page. Pitarra, You KILLED it for me with the duck gag, man! But the damn jello-cement shot ruined it for me. And spot some blacks! Your stuff would kick even more ass. Oliveira, I'll be looking close at your stuff next round, you've denfinitely started to win me over with your pages. |

Like I said in the public comment thread, I'm holding my vote for tomorrow. I think Jose narrowly beat out Dan this week for best pages, but that said I want to see Dan make it into the fourth round. If it looks like Dan's not going to make it, I'll vote for him, otherwise Jose has my vote.
Good luck, everybody! Oh, and BTW, I get no work done the 24 hours or so there's a vote. This vote is constantly distracting.

Suddenly this contest doesn't seem like just an art contest anymore.

I get some work done during the vote. Luckily I have little breaks in-between production of manga digests. I just finished the latest Monster and have a little break due to outputting the files.
