As reported earlier, Marvel Comics sent to CBR News today a cryptic image of Peter Parker and Mary Jane accompanied only with the text, “The End Of An Era.”
Speculation as to its meaning is of course rampant, but what seems plainly clear in the Joe Quesada illustration is that Spider-Man’s marriage is over, and as a woman in a superhero comic, MJ’s fate is almost certainly sealed. We’re cutting to the chase and asking you, our readers, for your thoughts on the real question: How would you prefer Mary Jane to die? Last edited by andy khouri : 08-07-2007 at 04:14 PM. |

This...is a good poll. It's at times like these that I appreciate the fact that several comic creators read CBR.
I hope readers don't miss the sarcasm, however. Btw, wasn't Mrs Dibny raped as well? |

Yes, but it wasn't part of her gruesome death scenario. It happened years before.
And put me down for none of the above as far as seeing MJ die. I think the idea of splitting up the marriage is a huge mistake. Blast! A minute too late in answering. :) |

Personally, I would prefer that something ridiculously normal happen to her, like a fatal car accident, with absolutely no villains involved.
But in the spirit of this poll, I voted Spoiler/torture. It was ridiculously out of character for Spider-man to reveal his identity to the whole world, but since he did, the logical consequences should follow. At least one of his many enemies would undoubtably rape and murder Mary Jane, just to get back at Spider-man.

I voted for the bridge. Because every climactic Spider-Man moment has to happen on the goddamn bridge.
I think it's a law, or something. |

Other: killed by Wolverine and resurrected as a ninja of The Hand. How fucking sweet would that be?

I picked the Karen Page special because it's easiest to chant.

She dies breaking the fourth wall in an attempt to knock some sense into Marvel editors who seem out to chase me away from their books by either making them event driven, or by trying to revert them to how they were twenty years ago when they used to read them.
That said, why is it Daredevil's hand holding up the shard???? I JUST HAVE TO KNOW!!!!
