ok, so i keep seeing that nightcrawler and mystique are mother and son, but i could SWEAR i read somewhere that the mutant DESTINY was actually mother to the both of them and mystique and nightcrawler are brother and sister but just dont know it or something. am i wrong? did i read this somewhere and they just retcon'd it or something?

Yep your wrong. Destiny and Mystique were always lovers...maybe your confusing it with Rogue who is Mystique and Destinys foster daughter.

Mystique is Nightcrawler's mother. She had it off with Sabretooth I believe, and out popped Nightcrawler.
I thought that Mystique and Destiny had some sorta relationship going on. So I don't think that they'd be related.

Thats wrong too...

Mystique is Nightcrawlers mother...Azazel a demonic mutant seduced her to have Nightcrawler. Hes called Wagner because of her husband at the time being called Wagner.
Mystique and Destiny were lovers for years raising Rogue.
Sabretooth did have a son with Mystique but he was called Graydon Creed and he was human

CLaremonts original intent was to have Mystique be the father and Destiny be the mother of Nightcrawler. That never happened and so we get Mystique being the mother and Azazel, a mutant who inspired the Satan legend, as the father.

I don't see how that would have even worked even when it was first thought up. Unless Mystique was originally going to be born male but just takes a female apperance. Cause appearing male or not, she wouldn't be able to be apart of producing a child unless that was the case. Since she concived Nightcrawler, that means that her genetic make up has to female. It just wouldn't work.
