Might as well get this started.

Mike,

Is the series going to come out on time or are there any projected delays you know about at this time.

Gotta have my LTB fix! By the way, I bought both covers for issue #1, something I never do!

When are toys coming out? Will Night Pride be sold as set? Or will this be other toys like Orson?

I think the REAL question is.... when will Lions, Tigers & Bears make it on TV, it's the perfect animation gig, with a toy and comic tie-in. Just do us all a favor and don't fall off the face of the planet when Hollywood comes knocking... like the Danger Girl team did.

We want our LTB comics.

There are no projected delays that I know of at this point. Jack and I are both up to our eyeballs in other work, but LTB is on course to come out as planned. In fact, I think issue two went to the printer last week, not sure though.

I have a prototype for Ares sitting on my desk right now and as soon as we work out some of the things that need to be tweaked, it looks like we're going to go into production with him. If they sell fast enough, we should have enough money to make a set of all four with when we're done. :)

Well, Hollywood has already come knocking and the series was optioned for film long before volume II ever saw the light of day. First and foremost, this is a comic book series and Jack and I are comic book creators. Besides, Bomb Queen would make a much better video game. ;)

I may as well say it now: If--no, WHEN the day comes that LTB is picked up as a film/TV show and they need someone to voice Ares, I call dibs. :D

Oh sweet, now that is a toy I'll buy two of. One for me and one for my niece!

Come on, you know they have to get Liam Neeson, who else can do a great voice to a big cat?

I admit, you gotta give it up to Liam Neeson in Chronic. That was badass.

But I want to know who would play Joey and Courtney. Hopefully they'd get REAL child actors and not these teens playing as kids.

The current plan is to create the movie in a similar fashion to Narnia, with all the animals done via CGI, but the parts of Joey, Courtney, Grandma, Abner etc will be played by real actors.

In fact, in the final battle scene (from Narnia) the Queen has a white tiger in her army that semi-resembles a certain member of the Night Pride, although the stripes are very wrong. (quite like Larsen with the fin on Savage Dragon, I'm a stickler for Ares' stripe pattern ;) )

I've actually spent some time trying to figure out who might do good voice-overs for the animals & Beasties, and while I have a few pegged, I still haven't come up with good matches for most of them. I'll refrain from saying who I'd like to hear in what role, as I'd prefer readers came up with their own ideas as to what Ares sounds like or who is best suited to voice Valthraax.

Besides, it's fun to hear who other people imagine they sound like. :)

I'm not sure if everyone's seen this or not, but LTB has been nominated for an Ursa Major Award for 2005: http://www.ursamajorawards.org/Voting-form-2005.htm
