Default Could Kevin Conroy have been more than the Voice of Batman at one point?

But rather the definitive live action Batman actor?

Check this out. Imagine the hair being altered (darker, slicked back a little).

Had never saw this before. And am shocked. Michael Keaton? It should have been Kevin Conroy IMHO. This episode was 1986.

Kevin Conroy might have been to Batman what Christopher Reeve was to Superman. And we may have been robbed of it.

I disagree, Keaton was the Reeves for Batman. Most people still consider him the best Batman. Conroy only good as the voice of batman and Captain Sunshine. Look at Batman: Arkham Asylum (Video Game) They made batman look like Keaton.

I greatly disagree.

This is not how I gauge most people. Most people in my experience consider Bale the best. I don't care for Keaton or Bale too much (I love Bale, but not so much as Batman/Wayne), but that is my experience.

If only it happened. This world would have been perfect.

I don't think we were robbed or anything.
It's not like Kevin was well known or in the running when the live action film was being made.

That said, I liked Keaton's performance.

I like Bale as Batman, but Conroy's voice really captures Batman's personality, imo.

I'm deliberately exaggerating a little. We were robbed by fate as far as I'm concerned. IMHO Conroy had the look, build, and height (huge guy). On top of The Voice. Terribly robbed by that damned fate.

This video clip will fuel my imagination of what might have been for quite a long time.

Hmm, he probably could of actually. I'd never actually seen him before. That being said, I find Keaton is a phenomenally awful Batman. His 'I'm Batman,' line is horrid and Bale's Im Batman line is teh awesomeness.

Highdsight is 20/20 as they say... looking back yes he would have made the IDEAL Bruce Wayne/Batman if the producers had went the Reeves route and went with an unknown but it never was even a possibilty. If it had happened.... wow it would have been amazing...

Personally, I think Kevin should play in the role of an older batman if a TV show or movie was ever made on Miller's Dark Knight Returns or Batman Beyond

Anyone have any even crude photo manipulation skills (for the hair)?

I used to bout 6 years ago, like 5 computer crashes ago, when I had this one program. But no more.

KC is the quintessential Batman [period] He has acted most closely to the character in the comics. I presume it would be the writers he worked with who get the credit for that.

Rino Romano, Adam West, Michael Keaton, & Christian Bale have done OK jobs but no one touches the core & soul of the character Bruce Wayve / Batman like Conroy.

Personally I loath Bale's voice when he's in Batman character. To me it just sounds terrible.

Yeah Conroy looks good. But I'm not sold on him being Batman. Oh sure he's good looking, but he just doesn't have the 'physical prescence' to carryit off. I've always maintained and still maintain that the part of Batman should have gone to Jim Caviziel (though he was too old to play a 30 year old Batman when the film came out).

I agree with the premise though that Conroy has the personality to be Batman. I remember listening to the commentary for Batman: Gotham Knight. Where Conroy praised Adrea Romano (voice director) because she's no-nonsense and doesn't waste time. And I thought to myself, now I understand why you do such a great Batman.

I disagree. Michael Keaton was dweeb in a Batman suite. They might as well have cast Woody Allen.
