Well, I read it when I still had a subscription to Shonen Jump.
Its alright, you just have to remember its not really about the game (they barely show anyone playing, and when they do they dont go through it turn by turn like in Yugioh) Its about the people playing the game; Their trials, tribulations, and how their lives are changed through the playing of this simple game. Still, those looking for action oriented manga need not apply, we dont like your kind round here. :p |

i didn't.
i felt it was pretty damn good for such a boring ass real game. it gets pretty exciting the way they set up the matches. think of it as a slice of life manga rather than Yu-Gi-Oh and you're set. i heard the ending sucks though. |

Considering the subject, no, it's not boring. At some points, it even makes the damned game seem interesting. When it comes to moving little black and white rocks around, these people have a passion that is usually reserved for spikey-haired kids in martial arts manga.
So, no. I wouldn't call it dull. It mostly comes down to what taste in manga you have.
