Tonto is just dumb, The literal transtion of Dumbass is Tonto Asno but nobody says that. Pendejo is a more appropiate translation.

Oops I've found it. Unfortunately the poster/blogger failed to add the entire thing

HJR 6 would provide that marriage in Texas is solely the union of a man and woman, and that the state and its political subdivisions could not create or recognize any legal status identical to or similar to marriage, including such legal status relationships created outside of Texas.

I mean if one doesn't include it all it does come off like that. Sorry I was playing devil advocate but I had to see the actual ballot.

Soooo basically this is just a ploy for the the prospective person to get votes for attorney general. I'm just curious, where were she when this went down in 2005 and why wait 4 years to later to say something?

Still, the way I read it, if there is anything like marriage in Texas since that law has been passed, it is no longer state sanctioned and possibly only has religious meaning.

I also like how the Attorney General's office completely missed the question and just babbled on about the law being constitutional.
