Since this is Winter Guard week, I have taken it upon myself to start some Russian character threads. This is the first.
Considering that this is the glorious 70th Anniversary of the Timely/Marvel Golden Age characters, and that the Soviet Union lost 300 million men during the Great Patriotic War, it stands to reason that we should discuss some of the Russian/Soviet characters that existed in the 30s or who are retcons. Can anyone think of any Russian characters from the Golden Age? I can only think of the Red Guardian from Namor Annual #1, and he was a retcon. Seriously, some writer needs to creat a team of kickass Soviet superbeings who were the terror of the Eastern front. Thoughts? Hindsight lad |

Я вспоминаю как мальчик как раз будучи влюблянным Советским Союзом. Я пожрал все книги о их как ребенок, и couldn' t получает достаточно. Принесите на Советы, торопливость столба.

There seems to be a real dearth of WWII era Russian heroes. Some talented writer is going to have to create some that can hold there own with the Invaders. Hindsight lad |

Translates to: I remember as a boy falls in love just as the Soviet Union. I devoured all the books about them as a child, and couldn 't get enough. Bring on the Soviets, post haste. |

Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Gallaher and other posters.
Hope these appreciation week posts are helping spread the word about the Winter Guard one-shot. Any plans for some Golden Age Soviet goodness if the mini/ongoing gets greenlit? Hindsight lad |
