It's Bruce, so get over it. In the little origin box that each character gets, it clearly states that Damien is "The son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul."
That said, this is issue is chock full of Damien awesomeness. He's completely obnoxious and totally capable. Putting him with a straight arrow like The Guardian is inspired fun. The only thing it lacks is a little of Damien's vulnerability. He's a little too capable both emotionally and professionally. While Sterling Gates doesn't fall into the "brat trap" like so many other writers trying to do him, he also doesn't give him the depth of mistakes that Morrison does. But this may be my favorite book this week. |

The art seemed off but I think it's just me not really liking Bach's stuff. Damien was awesome though.

I don't even know why there was debate about this.

Some people thought that he might have been created via artificial insemination and somehow that meant he wasn't really Bruce's kid..

I've said it before, but Morrison leaves clues right under our noses. He writes stories with depth, but people seem to think that the obvious cannot be the answer. They think he's trying to be clever, but he isn't. He's not afraid to give you the answer at the start of the mystery and people just don't want to accept it. Hurt is the Devil, Damian is Bruce's blood, Red Hood was Jason, Mr. Whisper was a real immortal and so on.
I know this wasn't a Morrison story, but the point is, when it comes to Morrison stories, the answer is usually the obvious.

From my experience people have difficulty accepting the obvious.... They've ben trained by mystery novels, crime shows, guess who plotl lines and such, that try to trick readers, to guess the unlikely in the face logic...
They longer take any information given to them at face value...assuming that the writer is doing all they can to trick them... When more times than not the most logical and obvious solution is the anwser... If it walks like a horse, talks like a horse, and looks like a horse... Don't guess Zebra just go with horse...

I really like that Luke Cage doesn't wear a costume. I think it reflects his character better than any costume would. He is who he is 24/7 whatever he's wearing. He will come out and whoop your ass in the middle of the night in his boxers and his wife's bunny slippers and you will still know he's Luke freaking Cage. -Doc Goblin Quoted for truth.... |

This book was alright. It's easily the best use of Damian not in B&R though, by far.
They need to write him more entitled and aristocratic sounding. This was a giant leap over the work everyone not named Morrison has done with the kid though. Big step in the right direction.

You must have a very shoddy understanding of human reproduction.

Shock tactics? How so? He's not a one-trick pony. Don't confuse him with Jeph Loeb.
