No cosmics, nor devices that can reproduce cosmic effects
Which side takes it? |

Do we have devices that can reproduce cosmic effects now? I mean I have one in my pants, but most people...

Okay, all of fiction. Standard equipment, I suppose it's possible that there is a scientist out there in fiction carrying around the sort of tech required to take on the massive amount of superpowered martial artists one finds in manga and comics, but I'm still putting my money on the martial artists. |

I'm not sure what you mean by cosmic effects, and I'm not smart enough to tabulate the abilities EVERY scientist and martial artist in all of fiction...
But I'd say that if "real life" has taught us anything, it's that science will win out over physical might, all day, every day. So I think the scientists take it. |

Real Life doesn't include Val Armorr though.

I'm pretty sure their is a scientist out there in one of the loonier places in fiction that could create an anti martial field, where in which all martial arts moves etc. fail to work.
As for real life, Tesla solos. |

I'm not seeing prep in the OP....
It's a little disturbing that this might come down to the DBZ and similar guys just riffling off massive amounts of their smaller explody blasts. |

Thing is, you're talking cosmic-level tech. Which is banned.

This is kinda unfair, you are giving the matial artists guys like Goku and Karate Kid but the science guys don't get Doom, Richards, or Washu(Tenchi). And we don't know what they do and do not get?
Although, I suppose that I am the last one to talk about handicaps with some of my threads.......................... Science for the win!!!

I'm a bit unclear on what the OP meant when he said "no cosmics." I'm assuming that means Richards and Doom are in, and I'm pretty sure Dr. Who is valid as well - unless "cosmic" means "non-human." In addition to the innumerable legions of human scientists in all of fiction... You're right about Metron, though.
Mailedbypostman, can you clarify? |
