One of my favorites is where Spider-Man tries to stop the Juggernaut following his attack on Spider-Man's friend, Madame Web. Spidey notices a fuel tank truck near a construction site. So he jumps behind the wheel and throttles it toward Juggs jumping out just before the truck hits the Juggernaut and light up in a big explosion.
![]() But as we know. That would never work on juggs. But when Spidey was honking the horn always stuck with me as pure epic. Spider-Man still funny in the face of unbeatable odds, and willing to try something stupid. And even the way he beats Juggs is pure Spider-man. He just jumps on his back and covers his eyes, taking a beating until Juggernaut steps into wet concrete and sinks to the bottom. ![]() Another favourite is when Firelord (a herald of friggin Galactus)comes to Earth and ends up fighting with Spider-Man, chasing him around New York until finally Spider-Man gets pissed and beats the living crap out of him. ![]() The BEST thing about this was, Spidey knew he was out of his league against a guy like that, and only when pushed to the edge does he manage to take him down. I loved Spider-man's reaction to Captain America and the Avengers when they arrive: "He used to be the herald for Galactus!? For Pete's Sake! He coulda killed me!" This next favorite scene of mine is from "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars" when Spider-Man is convinced that the X-Men are traitors and drops from the ceiling and curb stomps them in about five panels. I especially loved it when Spider-Man backhands Wolverine across the room, with the line, "Those pigstickers may scare the barroom bullies, but to me you're a joke!" with Nightcrawler complimenting him at that same time lol. ![]() There's more but I don't want to over flow this with pics.

I liked the fight Spidey had with Super Skrull in Marvel Team Up #61 and 62. Even though Spidey had help from both The Human Torch and Ms. Marvel, he still ended up having to go one on one against an opponent that clearly outclassed him. And since Spidey wouldn't last long in a hand to hand battle with the Super Skrull, it was fun to see him try to use his head to outmaneuver his opponent and try to stay one step ahead of an incredibly powerful foe.

That Secret Wars panel is how I tend to see Spider-Man in relation to almost all mutants. He's in a class by himself, should be anyways.
Ive always really loved some of the old Lee/Ditko stuff. So many great moments. Spider-Man vacuuming up Sandman has always been a particular favorite.

One of my favorite moments is from the Kulan Gath story in the 80's, where KG took over Manhattan and gave it a makeover so that it became the Conan world, and all the citizens including the supers were transformed into equivalent characters. Spider-Man was the only person in that world who knew the truth and retained all his memories (aside from Doc Strange who was incapacitated). He was hunted down like a dog by KGs minions, beaten severely, and literally crucified in Kulan Gath's throne room.
At a crucial moment, the near-dead Peter Parker summoned up every ounce of will and broke the cross he was crucified on and performed one last act of heroism before dying. He's a hero with a huge heart. |

I saw a thread like this for Captain America so I thought it would be cool to share all of your favorite moments of Spider-Man.

Favorite Spidey moments?
hmmmm.... there are a lot to choose from. 1. Norman beats the hell out of Peter Parker and reveals himself to be the Green Goblin (ASM 39) 2. The Sin-Eater arc (SSM 107-110) 3. Spidey fights Doctor Doom (ASM 5) 4. Spider-Man: Blue 5. Basically anything with the Chameleon! 6. "Spidey Tackles the Human Torch" (ASM 8) 7. When Spidey first gets his cosmic powers and is trying to figure out how they work and how he got them (SSM 158) 8. "The Menace From the Center of the Earth" episode of the 60s cartoon (lame, I know, but it was awesome when I was a kid!) 9. The WTC issue (ASM vol. 2 36) 10. The cover of Marvels # 4 - I want to own that painting someday! |

After years of litigation and false starts, Spider-Man the movie was released in May 2002 to excellent reviews and a then record-breaking opening weekend.

You may laugh about it, but that'a mine:
PPSM #75. I was young at comics and especially in the spider-man main continuity and that issue made me cry. It is a great comic. |
