Pick 20 to 40 characters from any milfiction work (provided it's not too sci-fi - so novel Master Chief doesn't rapestomp the whole thing or Alma turns everyone into ash - you can also choose FPS enemies and such, like the Helghast or Armacham forces, same rules) to liberate a small South American country half the size of, oh, Taiwan. (With apologizes to the Taiwanese.) Must be nonpowered.

The military ranges from cops armed with Berettas and kevlar, to decently trained soldiers with Soviet-era equipment (but have somewhat modern armor), and, occasionally, Future Force Warrior-armed troopers and soldiers on par with those guys from District 9. Not much of an air force, but they do send out Little Birds and various choppers. They do, however, have a lot of SAM sites (a lot of them), so you'll have to knock them out if you want a transport chopper.

Any cities or towns liberated will gladly help your troops out. If one of your troops can, they can train the citizens to defend themselves.

You've got 50K in starting money [euros, to be exact] (though who've you selected come with standard gear and about fifty pounds worth of ammo on each, and you can buy extra equipment/ammo if you like).

You can hire more characters, but it'll cost around 50K euro for each one, and this time, they'll charge you for equipment. Thankfully, you can earn more money by taking over any of gold/silver mines (the local despot had miners there already, though they'll join you with some persuasion) and selling it.

By the way, the population absolutely hates their "leader" and his forces, so they'll support your troops. You can set up militia, but they'll need training...

FPS Badguys?? Say hello to my Invasion from Hell.

Start with those three Duke Nukem Boss Badguys that were near immortal and had infinate chain-guns and rockets. Throw in all the bosses from Doom, and round it off with Kyle Katryn, Duke Nukem, the Doom Marine, The Portal girl, and will the rest out with invincable ATATs from Star Wars Battle front.

*Note this is me being MOSTLY with in the rules. if I REALLY wanted to cheese it Bad I'd point out that Disgaea had a FPS segment, for an Invasion from the Netherworld instead.

This is the plot to the Jagged Alliance games, so I'll take those guys.

Choosing a specific team, I'm always partial to Ivan, Vicki, Spider, Malice, Meltdown, Buzz, Scope, Grizzly, Steroid, Miguel, Dimitri, Ira, Raider, Raven, Hitman, Buns, Dr. Q, and Grunty, with Skyrider for transport.

Well I take the gears main Squad, they are impressive, especially in the graphic novel.

What about the ODST squad from halo, assuming they have only bullet shooting weapons? their suits are not that advanced...

This might just be gathering all the elite squads I can think of, storming the parliament buildings and capturing their Head of State...

Also What about the 'Point Man' from fear or Michael Beckett from FEAR 2?

Eh, I don't like taking too many of the uber-mercs (feels cheap), and Lynx conflicts too much with taking Buzz (since they really hate each other).

And even if there are SAM sites, Skyrider will come in handy once they're liberated.
