The BBC's current anti-bullying campaign has reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask, and a hypothesis I've been forming.
Has anyone here NOT experienced some form of bullying at some point in their lifetime? (I'll talk about my hypothesis later, depending upon the answers I get. If I'm wrong, I'll say so.)

I've never been physically bullied, but I've been intimidated by others.
I guess it depends on what your definition of bullying is.

There were times when kids tried to bully me, but I always pushed back or even fought back. I was never really felt bullied until around are 30, when I had my first really mean boss at work. At work, you can't fight back unless you're ready to lose your job. And the first two (out of three) CEOs at my current job yelled at me and threatened to fire me on multiple occasions. They're both gone now, and I get along fine with my current CEO.

No, I have never really been bullied. I come from a tall family so I was usually bigger than other kids. I think that helped. And I love my job, I've never been intimidated by co-workers.

I can't recall a time I was bullied. There were times I almost got my ass kicked, but those were because of things I did that honestly warranted it. My friends and I ruminated about this years later . . .we don't understand how we got out of high school unscathed.

Similar experience, it never even occurred to my geeky group of friends that we might be bullied in high school. We were all so tall. The average nerd in our group was 5'11" in high school. But it wasn't until after high school that someone pointed out that height factor to us.

I never even witnessed any bullying in school, which seems a bit odd looking back on it.

The only thing that I remember close to bullying is a group of kids hounding me for money all the time and pretty much following me around until I did. I told my mom, she told me not to do it anymore, I didn't and they left me alone.

I never really experienced any problems, even with my flagrant nerdyness. I was always fairly popular, with a good group of friends. Well loved and respected. Maybe I just got lucky, maybe it's because I grew up in a time when most kids spent there saturday mornings watching X-Men the Animated Series and Spiderman, and they re-released digitally updated versions of the Star Wars trilogy in theaters (there's only three Star Wars. What's a jar jar?) . But my geekdom never got in the way of me being friends with all who cared to be friends with me.
