It's the end of the world for "The End League," with the final issue of the series in stores now. CBR spoke with Rick Remender about the heroes' last stand against the overwhelming forces of evil, as well as their possible futures.

I really enjoyed The End League, and would absolutely buy a second volume, but I felt the last few issues rushed to a conclusion a little too quickly.

Just read the issue and Remender can tell me this is a natural ending as much as he likes, it is not true.
Certainly, it is the way the story should have ended, but it's told so compressed, that it must have been supposed to be at least three to four issues instead of one oversized ish. Okay, the book has always moved fast, but not this fast, to me the story felt "jumpy", many things which should have played out over a few pages, with insight into what exactly happens and why, were treated in one or two panels. Still a good end for a great series, but it would have deserved at least one issue more. |

It's too bad that all of the Marvel work made Dark Horse and Image books less important.

I know. Makes me glad that Robert Kirkman partnered with Image. I know he won't get to write his Spider-Man epic now, but I'd much rather have books like Invincible, Walking Dead, and Astounding Wolf-Man!
