Season Two ended last night, and now we're waiting to see if it will get picked up for a third. What would you guys like to see? I've come up with some story arc ideas.
Jameson's Revenge: We get stories involving Scorpion and Spider-Slayer. Hobgoblin: Harry becomes the Hobgoblin to kill Spider-Man. When Gwen finally breaks up with him to be with Peter, Harry snaps and kidnaps Gwen. Monster Mash: Lizard returns, Morbius debuts, and John becomes the Man-Wolf. Doc Ock: Haven't worked out the whole plot, but the death of George Stacy occurs. Peter was planning on telling Gwen he was Spider-Man but he decides not to when she blames Spider-Man for his death. This would be good for a season finale, since we had a Venom finale and a Goblin finale, might as well give Spidey's last big villain a finale. Anyone else got ideas? |

I wouldn't expect Gwen to die until at least the fourth season. Similarly, I wouldn't expect Norman to return until at least the fourth season.

We know Hobgoblin and Scorpion are coming. I'm expecting Carnage and the Jackal. I'm also expecting more on Calypso and the return of the Lizard.

Since I missed the show, was there ever a Sinister Six? Because that would be awesome.

Season 1, Ep 11: Doc Ock, Vulture, Rhino, Sandman, Electro, and Shocker Season 2, Ep 16: Vulture, Rhino, Sandman, Electro, Kraven, and Mysterio. I have an idea for the next group: Doc Ock, Kraven, Mysterio, Electro, Hobgoblin, and Vulture. Kind of like the second group in ASM 334-339 except Hobgoblin replaces Sandman instead of Kraven. While we're on the topic, it would be cool to seee Sandman working with Silver Sable ala the Wild Pack. |

Here's what I think could happen with a third season if it gets greenlit:
*Miles Warren (desperate for funds since Norman "died" and knowing Jameson's hatred for Spider-Man) secretly makes John Jameson the "Man-Wolf." After Spidey defeats the Man-Wolf, Jameson agrees to support Warren in the creation of the Scorpion, with Mac Gargan (whom Jameson hired to shadow Peter ever since the "Identity Crisis" episode) as the test subject. Gargan goes insane with power, and Jameson is blackmailed into silence by Warren, a plot thread which will have greater importance in the Hobgoblin arc. *Because of Norman's "death," another power vacuum in organized crime has been created, with Silvermane on one side as he attempts to regain his criminal empire, and Hammerhead on the other, using the left overs of the Green Goblin's gang to gain power for himself, with the "freaks" acting as freelancers. In the midst of this arrives the mysterious Hobgoblin, who offers to help Tombstone become the "Big Man" once again by taking out the competition and blackmailing prominent New Yorker's, including Jameson. Suspects include Harry Osborn (wanting revenge against Spider-Man for his father's "death"), Daniel Menken (who also knew about Osborn being the Green Goblin), Roderick Kingsley (who is in the midst of a cooperate take-over of Oscorp) and Ned Lee (still trying to discover a connection between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin and now dating Betty Brant). Also includes appearances by the Black Cat (still angry at Spidey for keeping her father in prison), Silver Sable (who is starting to regret her criminal ways), Sandman (who now wants to lead a quiet, normal lfie) and Hydro-Man (Hammerhead's "replacement" for Sandman courtesy of Miles Warren). *On the Peter Parker side of things, the season long subplot involves him trying to cope with Gwen being Harry's girlfriend and, due to his breaking up with Liz, once again becoming unpopular with the "in-crowd." To cheer him up and to help him win back Gwen, Mary Jane begins to hang-out with him more. Peter and Gwen do get back together, but ironically, MJ's finds that she has now fallen in love with him. *Also, Aunt May and Dr. Bromwell begin seeing more of each other, a situation Peter feels awkward and uncomfortable with since Uncle Ben's death, being almost a year ago, is still fresh in his mind. *An episode involving Molten Man who, because the Green Goblin didn't turn off the nanites, is now literally burning himself out. He tries to go after Warren for a cure, and results in a battle with Spidey. In the end, the ESU labs are destroyed, which forces Warren to seek funding elsewhere (leading to the Scorpion), and Gwen and Peter now out of an internship. Mark is sent upstate for advanced medical treatment, which results in Liz having to leave school with her family. *Another episode involving Peter visiting the Connors during Spring Break. While there, Dr. Curt Connors becomes the Lizard once again, but this time with intelligence and the ability to control other reptiles telepathically. Also involves Kraven the Hunter. *After the Hobgoblin arc, Norman Osborn returns as the Green Goblin and kidnaps Peter. It's revealed that he knows he's Spider-Man and attempts to brainwash him to make him his "rightful heir." Spidey escapes and, in the ensuing battle, and explosion results in Osborn getting amnesia and unable to remember being the Goblin. Osborn is then hospitalized and under police watch as he awaits trial. *The season then ends with the return of the Sinister Six, this time consisting of Doc Ock, Vulture, Electro, Rhino, Mysterio, and Scorpion, and kidnapping Osborn. Doc Ock needs an experimental nuclear device he was working on at Oscorp and Osborn is the only one who can access the lab. After Spidey defeats the other members of the Six, Doc Ock escapes with the device and holds the city ransom, threatening to destroy New York if his demands are not meet. Spidey, using an stronger, sticker webbing, stops Doc Ock, but he looses control and it ends up costing Captain Stacy's life. As a result, Spider-Man is accused of murder, with a task force headed by the newly prompted Captain Jean DeWolfe. Gwen, blaming Spider-Man for her father's death, tells Peter she's going to stay with her relatives in England over the summer, leaving the future of their newly developed relationship in doubt. And Peter decides to be "Spider-Man: No More" and throws away his costume--which is then found by Mary Jane. *After this, comes the first Spectacular Spider-Man movie, which involves Eddie Brock once again becoming Venom and the debut of Cletus Cassidy as Carnage. Carnage's rampage and his ability to infect others with the symbiote forces Peter to become Spider-Man once again and to team-up with Venom.
