Zatanna often lives in Gotham. So does Alan. Freaking. Scott.

Alan. Freaking. Scott. Pretty much makes this a roll for gotham.

Without the above two thoguh Ankh-Morpork has thousands of Trolls and Dwarves. Add in Vetinari and Vimes and they get seriously scary. The Wizards may or may not be a facotr depending. While they're roll is to *not* do magic, they are perfectly willing to do so for the sake of expediency.

They also have Rincewind with his half-brick in a sock, the third most deadly weapon known to man. They also have the second and first, being, in order, The Luggage and Dibbler's Suasage Inna Bun.

Ya know... they might still take this even with Alan Scott...

Lets see:

Ankh Morpork have quite a lot of golems*

*Golems in Ankh Morpork have superspeed, insane durability and strength. Free Golems can hurt people.

Ankh Morpork also have a large community of trolls (hulking walking rocks - superhuman strength and durability (they are bulletproof), including at least one who is superintelligent.

Dwarves in Morpork are all heavily armed too.

They have decent assasins and probably a few who are very good - including Vetinari.

The Wizards are not terribly competent, but they do know how to transmute people and blow up stuff. Ridcully is especially dangerous if pushed.

They also have Rincewind -

Alan Scott might be able to overpower team AM- but I wouldn't bet on it. More than likely his attack causes a freak accident in the time-space continuum which catapults rincewind into the distant past where he accidentially smashes the starheart oor something.

Also on the subject of time manipulation. Ankh Morpork is home to at least some History monks. Those guys are time manipulators.

I am beginning to think that even with Alan Scott they Gotham might be screwed...
Without him they most certainly are

Actually now that I say that I don't think "for a while" was near as long as I thought it was. After he showed up in Ankh Morpork, he showed off with the wizards then went off to build his own castle and leave the UU until the very end right??

It seemed like Coin was only there for a few days. I could be wrong though.

After reading Unseen Academicals, I gotta say that Mr. Nutt is definitely a factor.

As for Zatanna and Alan Scott, the Luggage is immune to magic, and made out of wood.

I don't care, I just want to see the Joker wonder into the Fool's Guild.
That should make for the fun times.

Because it'll only take Joker about 5 minutes to turn the overly stoic clown into a male Harley Quinn?

A bit of an exaggeration, yeah, but the Fool's Guild is made of broken and desperate men; showing someone that both enjoys and gets respect (sorta) out of being a clown might lead to a very nasty situation.

Point: Trolls are somewhat bulletproof, but IIRC, even Detritus was notably hindered by having a few slugs from the outdated (although horribly malevolent) Gonne put in his chest. I can't remember if he was wearing his armor at the time, but I would assume he was as it was during the line of duty, IIRC. Meanwhile, Gotham has firepower that's centuries ahead of the Gonne, and with a reload time and rate of fire that would make Leonard De Quirm stand up and clap.

Though I don't think they'd normally stock anything with quite as much oomph as Detritus' crossbow, it takes awhile to reload that sucker, at which point he's probably going to be on the receiving end of a few sniper rounds.

I dunno what the rank and file could do against golems, though, but Zatanna and Alan Scott should be able to handle that just fine as long as they are far enough away. Mr. Freeze could probably slow down the Luggage for a little while, at least long enough for Alan Scott to throw it into deep space (from where it will probably wander back in a few million years/a couple of hours, possibly at the same time).

Frankly, there's probably nothing keeping Alan Scott from just teleporting all of Ankh Morpork into the sun or something, but that seems boring.

Shame this isn't an invading force hitting Ankh Morpork.

Gotham would be tough but Ankh Morpork specialises in trading with and eventually nativising any invading army.

He was, he reported that he owed the Watch 12 dollars for a new breastplate since it was full of holes but was pleased to further report that the backplate was fine due to his body getting in the way.

But yeah, he wasn't bothered that much by the Gonne's attacks. He "oozed," but never seemed to be slowed down or impeded by said oozing and he seemed to heal up just fine without medical treatment.
