Street Level Fighters

I am trying to come up with a list of 'Street Level Fighters', give-or-take.

I wanted to see how Ranma and Ryoga fare against others at around their level, but I couldn't come up with a good list.

Any suggestions? Who would give them a good fight?

I think you may need to go into mid tier for these two.
Out of street levelers though....Spidey and Iron Fist come to mind.

Some of the characters from Ikkitousen would give them a good run. Especially Hakufu

Eh, I like the girls, but they kinda lack in speed. IIRC, the Ranma characters are crazy fast, and the IK girls are more about insane striking power and durability. Cho-Un is the fastest of them and I'm not really seeing her keep up.
MAYBE if Sousou goes super dragon mode, but we have yet to see him really go all out...

Can someone more familiar with Ranma help me out?

Both Ranma and Ryoga are so far out of street-level it's not even funny.

Unless the IT characters are doing a lot better than they used to, they'd get their rear-ends handed to them by either of these guys (Ranma worse than Ryoga, despite Ryoga's Class 70+ strength).

I honestly can't see Danny Rand or Peter Parker taking Ranma or Ryoga, either. And they viciously break the 'street-level' power curve, themselves.

IIRC, the only attack that comes real close to that in IK is the Ryofu-Pimpsmack, and I'm not sure she can hit them anyway.

They are extremely fast from what I remember of their previous threads.

Ryouga has demonstrated some pretty extreme feats, and regularly explicitly keeps up with people who demonstrate pretty freakish speedfeats themselves who are trying to blitz him.

Ranma, on the other hand, has feats that put him into the super-speedster range, hits probably about as hard as Ryouga, and has durability out the yin-yang, plus his special maneuvers.

Frankly, the Ryofu pimpsmack is the sort of thing that takes place fairly regularly in their manga. It would be enough to get an 'oooo' out of the spectators, but otherwise it would be 'Ranma climbs out of the wreckage looking scuffed up and says "Guess I have to get serious."'

Ryouga would just laugh it off. Literally. :)

Just as examples of their durability, here's a couple of feats.

1. Ranma, under the effects of the strength-weaking moxibustion (so he's incredibly weak at the moment) takes a full-out shot in the face from an enraged Ryouga that sends him flying through the air. His impact against a granite, natural cliff (natural, not a brick wall) crushes a 10+ foot crater into it. He is noticeably hurt, but not injured.

It's a good feat for both Ryouga (strength) and Ranma (durability), and they both keep getting tougher in the series from there.

2. Ryouga, just after he learns the Bakusai Tenketsu, takes a kick from Ranma that sends him flying through the air. He goes about 40-50 feet, still rising up, and hits a cliff. This time, he doesn't make a crater, but when he falls the whole bloody cliff falls on him (including some enormous boulders - not rocks, boulders).

Ryouga bursts out of the rubble, literally laughing hysterically about how it felt like a 'baby's kick', totally unharmed. It takes Ranma landing three blasts of literally hundreds of blows (note Ranma's strength, above) so quickly they look like one punch into his solar plexus to put him down.

Again, a good feat for both of them. Again, they both just get more powerful as the series continues (this is actually near the beginning of the manga).

This leads me to one conclusion: We're going to need to bring in upper comic characters to take them on.
But I can't really think of characters who can give them a good fight without anyone getting stomped.

EDIT: Also, Sharp, if you're a Ranma fan, never read The Bitter End. It's a fanfic.
It's not a fun read. I can get the idea behind it, but it is not a fun story and this Guy1 was nauseated after reading it.

I'm at the synchrotron right now, and they might not appreciate me youtubing on their wireless network.

But if those feats are like what I recall, Ryouga can't (though he has area effect attacks - VERY powerful ones - and durability out the yin-yang, which means bloodlusted he's quite dangerous to speedsters) but Ranma can.

Several powerups before the end of the series, Ranma is tossing out blizzards of punches (accurately, all aimed at the same place) that number in the hundreds (plural) that look like a single blow.

Later on in the series, after further powerups...ahh, I can't recall the feat exactly, but it's on the lines of 'steals the clothes off of everyone in the house (including Soun, who is a bit of a crazy martial artist himself) so quickly that nobody sees him, all at the same time, and runs off with the foundations of the house to boot'.

Or something along those lines. Really, really silly speedfeats.
