No spoilers, but ...

I read Flash: Rebirth #5, and it was not only totally engaging, and set up the next issue beautifully, but EVS -- wow. What a freakin' beautiful issue.

Then! Adventure Comics #4: Holy shit! I haven't had that much fun reading a comic in AGES! It's like the perfect little comic, with beautiful art as well.

Geoff Johns totally rocked it today.

I liked Rebirth (and the eat crow moment it may bring to some disgruntled readers).


But I loved Adventure Comics #4. Especially the Prime story.

I know, right? :) Pure awesomeness. I was at a bar down the street from my LCS, reading my comics, and having a beer. And I was just cracking up, ever other page.

Now consider i have not read it myself and i only got a few things spoiled

spoilers:

Wallys new costume is still very much a Flash costume, only a few small tweeks and a deeper shade of red Jai was depowerd and Iris became a speedster... infact she became IMPULS PS: TOLD YOU SO!! Liberty Belle/Jesse Quick got her fathers costume, don't know if its going to stick, and i much more prefer her old Jesse Quick costume. Zoom killed Barrys mother so all apperances of Barry prior to this grew up with his parents. so not really a retcon more like a plot device PS: TOLD YOU SO!!!

See, my Flash-fu is like ... minimal at best. He's one major character I know the least about, probably. So, I've really been enjoying the hell out of Rebirth.

Oh, and the art. The glorious, glorious art.

Because of a very low budget for comics, I stopped reading Flash Rebirth in issue 2. I didn´t get Adventure Comics, either. I´m only following John´s Green Lantern and Blackest Night. But I want so bad to add the ongoing Flash to my pull list and I hope to get the FR tpb.

I think you'll be happy if you get that trade. And look into the first Adventure tpb when it comes out, too.

Johns, IMO, has been bringing his A game. ESPECIALLY today.
