He'd probably do much better with a Sinestro ring, I reckon.

So if Batman had Sinestro's ring would he then be able to beat Magneto? I think he could.

In theory whoever posses the full power of electromagnetisim ie: magneto can just pretty much do anything, if anything a sceince journal on comics not also believed that magneto was the strongest villan on earth but that his power was actually understrength and in practise would be much more greater. maybe batman can put his week prep training to good use and use the ring to make himself a ready made green coffin because that's how much he's already screwed.

Now with a yellow ring it's different, there isn't much of a learning curve.

It's not so much that as the fact that I'd imagine Batman would be more proficient with using fear than will. Dude already uses fear as a weapon.

At some point in GL vol 4 he is chosen to wear a yellow ring but doesn't.

Greatest at showing Hal is the greatest, yes, I know.
That's like Kyle fulfilling Dream's proclamation that he would surpass Hal Jordan by showing how much better Hal Jordan is than everything, the only area in which anyone can be better than Hal at something, by law. Last edited by Pendaran; 11-16-2009 at 09:03 PM. |

You read that science journal? The bare minimumn magneto could do if electro magnetisimim was at his full power would be to incerinte the earth instantly, let alone fry anyone's brain waves. Rings aren't on that level sunshine.

Oh, and when one of them got possessed by a yellow fear monster and figured out how to bypass the safeties or something, rewrite the universe. And whatever the hell Ion was. EDIT: I guess what I'm saying is that the ring's powers are canonically "does anything you can think of, at all, as long as you've remembered to charge it and have enough willpower to sustain the action." The Yellow and wood weaknesses are specifically programmed into it in order to prevent corruption (I think there was a lantern from a blind race that thinks its part of the F Sharp Bell Corps, and presumably has a sound based weakness). This includes control over the EM spectrum, telepathy, amplification of all ones' stats to Supermanish levels, reorganizing atoms at one's whims, creating clones of the JLA, teleporting one's opponent into Thanos' bathroom, etc...
