When the PSP book was announced I was very excited to read new adventures of these "overlooked" characters from the 40's. However I was a bit underwhelmed with PSP Vol I. When the solo series were announced I decided to stick around. I loved DDD & Masquearde but Black Terror did not thrill me. I am glad I decided to give this new universe a chance to develop. PSP Vol II has been very good.
And Black Terror #5 was everything I expected from this character. Hester is an excellent writer that has fleshed out the BT in just one issue & made me care about him. I loved the flashback sequences to WWII. The action scenes were brutal (in a good way). Lau is a very good artist that had me reading the book several times to look at the art. I am glad Dynamite has Casey & Hester writing the spin offs since I think Krueger does better when he only has to focus on the main book. I look forward to the upcoming Ghost mini as well as BT #6. |

I thought it was a great issue. Loved the story and flashback scenes -- thought the art was superb -- and really dug the cliffhanger ending.
Bring on issue 6! |

Thanks so much. Black Terror has been a blast to write, and I think each issue gets better than the last. Jonathan grows as an artist with each page. I'm riding his coattails as far as they'll take me!
As for brutal fight scenes... wait until #7. -P |

The Dynamite universe has interested me but I haven't picked any of it up yet. Reading this issue of BT was really eye opening.
