Wow. The Marvel hype-machine has certainly been firing on all cylinders when it comes to promoting Siege.

This is the type of marketing treatment that other titles need. Is it any wonder why Siege is going to outsell DoomWar and Second Coming?

Undoubtedly it will, but both of those events are further off than Siege is (particularly the latter).

But when the time does come, I can guaran-damn-tee you that they won't receive anywhere near the amount of hype that Siege has received in the past week or so.

Exactly. A teaser a day keeps DC away.

On another note, does it bother anyone else that an amateur in Tony Stark's armor is going toe-to-toe with Dr. Doom?

Alan Davis is awesome...looking foward to see him drawing an Avengers series as soon as possible.

CBR: We also have the Black Widow, who many thought was the weakest link of the Mighty Avengers, stepping up and showing how formidable she really is.
Andy Diggle: The new team leader is Yelena Belova, the "evil" Black Widow II. She's a bad-ass Russian agent with a chip on her shoulder. Very capable, very seductive, very deadly.

An amateur, but a superhuman (and pretty intelligent) amateur.

Hmmm...I don't actually think this Davis variant is exceptional. It, and the characters on it, don't really play to his artistic strengths.

No, because the previews have made it very clear that Norman isn't doing it alone.

He's cunning, not intelligent. And his superhuman abilities have nothing to do with operating the armor.

No, actually he's considered a scientific and financial genius in addition to his cunning. Not quite on the level of a Tony Stark or Hank Pym or Reed Richards, but far, far above the average person. Don't forget who invented the Goblin formula and all his gear.

Plus, superhuman reflexes probably are pretty useful in operating the armor, actually.

Osborn isn't worthy to be in the same room with people like Doom and Loki.
