Default How strong is Luke Cage these days?

How strong is Luke Cage these days?

I have a question about Luke Cage, Power Man.

I missed a couple of years with the development of the character, but has he been up-ed in terms of strength? In the Power Man and Iron Fist days he was depicted being about as strong as the Beast, but less than Spider-Man.

He's had at least two power-ups since his first treatment.

During the short-lived Heroes For Hire series with Black Knight and others, he was shown as anywhere from class 40 to 60, depending on the story. Let's just say he was strong enough to knock Ironclad flying.

These days? Who knows. He's as strong as Bendis wants him to be.

Yeah... he definately came off CLOSE to theThing ballpark during the second Heroes for Hire book. He was able to beat Iron Clad and Orka.

These days, I think he actually comes off a bit weaker though a bit more durable at the same time. He did fine against Mr. Hyde, but struggled a bit against Wrecker.

Right now, I'd say he's somewhere between 25 and 50 in the ton department (which probably isn't very helpful as far as answering the question).

Damn you!

I had the exact same thought when I saw the title to this thread, but you beat me to it.

Are we ever going to get an explanation as to why that Power Inhibitor affected a few characters... that it really shouldn't have?

even with an explanation, the power inhibitor is one mighty goofy deux ex machina. you're talking about a hypothetical machine that instantly counteracts any superpower; magical, mutagenic, or mechanical in nature.

Strong enough to survive a three-month (and counting) heart attack.

You know, part of me think it's fake. It's just a way (yet again) to get somebody inside the DA's smooth operation.
