Rumblers League 3: Week 10, D1, Match 2- The Once and Forever v Cleric of Hells Brigade
Note: Polls have been allowed for this league, as a special exception, by moderator Gordon Smith.

A couple of general housekeeping rules:

Characters must fight in character.
Teams ran by more than one user can only vote once (not both users).

Super 17: Opens with a volley of his world-spanning, crater creating, Z-Fighter pulping energy attacks. These things are also pinpoint in their targeting, Goku, from another continent, had to dodge these things during the entire trip. Also, Naruto? That ring? Yeah, non-sentient computer, meaning, it's Motherboxes.

Note: Meatwad is making the plating intangible, so don't worry about it for now.

Note 2: Any attempts at teleporting will resort in Boomtubing to the sun, as Super 17(and the Motherbox as well IIRC) can read that kind of thing when it's being done instantly, Ryoko, that probably means you.

Out: Anyone teleporting, Naruto

Cassandra Nova's Mind: Is going after Molly Metcalf and all that incredible power. Naturally intangible, she'll launch herself at the woman(if she hasn't already been boomtubed to Sol) and try to shut her body, power, and mind down. If this proves to be impossible, then she simply focuses on shutting down the minds of Cleric's team.

But Wait Mind Gem/Helmets! Note: Yeah yeah I know, I gotta other stuff for that. Using SCIENCE!!

Cassandra Nova's Body Fires a blast to turn the base that Cleric's team is in into a dog. Anyone in there will be crushed by the shifting material.

Jake: Using the boost from Cassie's ring, he'll create a giant octopus with many many tentacles to smack any flying member(O Hay Magneto of the super-shields!) of Cleric's team out of the sky and into the waiting pouch of...

Cassie's kangaroo, which will then hyperjump to Odym. On top of being D-Dumped(With no way to teleport back, as teleporting = sundump), if Magneto is there, his ring doesn't work. In fact, his ring probably plain doesn't work, given a Blue Ring's effect on a Yellow one.

Midnighter: Is blasting any debris Magneto might want to send our way, as well as smacking up anyone who tries to fly at us.

Hank: Generates a star-light force-field around the non-blasty bits of my team.

Meatwad: Is making various things intangible, including 17's plating, and M's Mind Gem, which he will then bring to himself using his Telekinesis.

Out: Everyone, in theory. But Naruto is out, Magneto is gone, M's Nova's, and possibly Ryoko and Molly, depending on how they start things off.

Part II: Where I might finally have to kill a Torc

Cassie: Creates a happy nice illusion for Nico where the dead respect him, his sister is alive and...Yeah, his dreams come true, then he's pulped up by a supercharged tiger.

Super 17: Rushes Ryoko, grabs her, because, yes, Super 17 does need to choke a bitch, and begins to drain her of her life's energy(Nova's body's tentacles are holding her arms, to prevent stabby), while 17 didn't do it, 19 and 20 did, and he's got the same bulbs now. This will leave her as a drained and used husk of dead.

Jake: Focuses all of his power on ripping through Magneto's shields, lions, tigers and bears oh my! indeed.

Please remember that my team will perform their moves as quickly as possible.


Magneto raises shields (both sets) while amping his speed up and ripping apart any and all metal the opposing team has on them (Super 17, rings, ect.....).

As the metal is being ripped apart, Magneto will use the Yellow Power Ring and his own magnetic powers to send high level blasts at Jake while sending the bullets and mace after him at high speeds, pummeling him while staying away from the draining effect of the Blue Ring user Cassie.

The Staff of One will be used to cast "Power down" on the oppposition, draining away all power they have.

If needs be, Magneto will head Jake off if he targets soemone else on my team.


Ryoko Now invisible, will fly towards Cassie and, phasing through any shields that she has too, will use the Knife to dispatch Cassie (seeing as how they can both see each other now). She'll use her phasing and teleportation to avoid any Boom tubes or other such attacks that might get in her way as she goes about getting rid of Cassie.

Once Cassie is down, Ryoko will target 17 (if still standing) and teleport behind him, Stabbing him in the head to kill him (again, avoiding any Boomtubes).

Molly raises her strongest shields around herself and M while casting myctis bolts of force, hellfire, tangle fields (which act like super tazers to put people down), and transmutational beams, targeting them all at Nova, Jake, and 17.

Other than targeting them, Molly will hang back and use her magic to protect anyone from being Boom tubed. She'll also retrieve them if possible, do some D-Dumping of her own, and be on healing detail.


(If Nova goes Astral, Molly will aswell and will fight her there or force her her back into her body).


M using her strongest mental atatck, targets Nova and slams her will all the Mind Gem power she can summon on her first try. Now, M's got some level of intuative aptitude, so her pulling power from it shouldn't be to hard a stretch. Will all that might, M will also try to keep Nova from going Astral to escape.


Should Nova attack my team's minds, M will defend them instead while slamming Nova. Once Nova is shut down, M will target the rest of Brutal Legends.


Naruto filled with Kyuubu like anger and rage, now compunded by the Ring, will go after whomever is in his path. With what little reasoning his type of Ring wielders have, Naruto will target the lesser threats (like Hank,Terrific, Meatwad, Marco, and Midnighter).

If Naruto is too uncontrollable, he'll still be launching whatever vomit induced blood attacks at the opposition, eating away pretty much any defense they have.


Nico Torcs up while summoning his dead legion to attack the lesser threats (Hank, Midnighter, Marco, and Meatwad). Once they appear, he'll shadow travel behind Hank and take him out (Syngion Spikes, Hades Fissure, a punch, what have you), then port behind whatever threats are left (targeting Midnighter, Marco, and Meatward in that order) and take them out.



My team will move to aid each other as needs be. They will also fight to the best of their powers, skills, abilities, intelligence, experinece, and items allow.

Jake's contendin gwith a hellsih amount of crap coming hsi way, includin ga mace shown to disrupt Lantrern artifacts and most energy based aura's shields, and weapons in general.



17 has been reduced to a pulp. He may get some shots off, but nothing TOAF does will stop Magneto from crushing him. Especialy since he has to wait for Meatwad to make the plating intangible (not that that would protect 17, as he himself is metalic/cybernetic).


He also in no way conuters M with the Mind Gem at all. Nova may or may not last long, but concidering she's focusing on Molly and not on M first, I think M's got her licked.


Actually, TOAF mentions no real way that M get's taken down.


And Cassie can't deal with Ryoko because Ryoko doesn't teleport. She flies, completly undetected due to the Ring (something TOAF doesn't have a defense or mention for), and Knifes Cassie right quick.


Also, DBZ/GT Androids only ever absorbed Ki based energy. They never once absorbed cosmic/celestial energy like Ryoko's, so if 17 did grab Ryoko (she'd phase and stab, like I said she would) he wouldn't be able to absorb her power and would get Knifed for his trouble.


I'm also unsure on how Naruto is take nout. You mention M-Boxing him, but if 17's either ripped paart, Knifed, or Transmutred, he won't have that opprotunity. Mind you, Molly's stated as returning anyone dumped, so........


There is also the question of the Staff, which TOAF didn't address either. "Power Down" will wreck havoc amonst his team.

Well M is now a giant building dog, so, yeah, she's pretty taken out.

As is Magneto, and Ryoko, who travels headlong into getting smacked by Jake's octopus, or blasted up by 17(who has kinda human inards, if you remember).

M's Gem is also well taken care of, in that Meatwad takes it away(as he's adressed pretty close to last in your strat).

TOAF, Meatwad an idiot and slow as hell compared to everyone on both our teams. Naruto, Nico, or anyone else could easily take him out and do. And he doesn't so anything to M's gem (not that he could since she's behind Molly's shield) until after working on 17's plating (which is moot, because 17's dead by then).


And 17 can't deal with Ryoko because Magneto's crushed him.


Magneto also did't charge Jake, so no octupus arms smacking him around. Instead, he has to contedn with blasts, bullets, and the mace. Especially as Cassie's dead thanks to Ryoko.


And Nova's either transmuted by Molly, stopped cold and beaten by M, or any other massive attack coming at her.

M is also super shieded by Molly, so good luck nailing her.



You don't take M out (you never even focus on her much), Ryoko's fine (because she doesn't teleport until AFTER dealing wiuth Cassie, meaning 17's dead by then and not Boomtubing people), and you never once deal with the Staff, which gets sued within mere moments of the fight.


Oh yeah, the Torc protects against mental illusions and magic ones too, so Nico wouldn't be fooled at all.

I take away the only weapon you have her using with Meatwad. Ryoko, even if she gets through the attack on Cassie, which she shouldn't, because Blue and Green Rings synch with one another, and the staff is giving some oddly generic command. Power down? Power down what? Who, why not you?

So, his armor is still intangible and he's still ripped up by a roid tiger.

Jake's will vs Magneto's fear? Magneto. Cassie's hope? We've got ourselves a fight.

I think that Ryoko is boom tubed to the sun.

I think M probably wins that fight, but not sure.

I don't know enough about DBZ for the energy absorbing debate.

I'm curious about the intangibility stuff.

Good points by both sides.

Ryoko doesn't port till late, and Mags sheild should protect him from being crushed along with M being protected from Nova via Gem, also can Meatwad effect things like Adamantium from that far away?

The Blue/Green combo would be powerful and if Cass gets close to Mags then his Ring power would be drained, and Super 17 most likely could drain power from Ryoko if he gets his hands on her.

How is Meat wad turning things intangible? And Cassie's move against Nico seems kind of out of character, she really wasn't one to attack the defenseless, also Nico, might be able see through her illusions, seeing as he can see through the Mist.

Not sure which way I'm leaning currently, but it would help if these concerns were answered.

And yet he's a 2? I realized ATHF was a stupid-humor show, but that's a lot to ask us to buy.

Walls, or Shake are not as solid/dense/unaffectable as Adamantium.

I wouldn't be too happy if I ended up crushed between all the stone, steel, etc. in a military base myself.

Not seeing quantum uncertainty being held back by durability myself. A character immune to such effects would be a different story, as would anyone from unrelated physics.
