List your favorite live action series. Can be a complete or only partial list.
In no particular order: Xena Warrior Princess - Lucy Lawless is frikking awesome. Hercules - Kevin Sorbo, also awesome. I watched these two shows almost religiously. Frasier - Comedy at its finest. And it was smart to boot. Becker - I think this predated House for the grumpy doctor bit. And I like it better. Pushing Up Daisies - Why we're no longer getting this I don't know. It was charming. Fringe - Possibly best new show currently. The Tick - For a while there FOX (it was FOX right?) was constantly trying out new shows, none of which stuck. From the few episodes I saw, this should have. Andy Richter Controls the Universe - Seriously, something must've been wrong with the station if it kept dropping this stuff. And they brought back Family Guy? I can't even bother with Family Guy now, my brain cells have finally started to revolt. How I Met Your Mother - Funny. The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Anyone remember when Nickelodeon did good live action shows? The Secret World of Alex Mack - Girl who could turn into water puddle thing. Pretty interesting actually. Land of the Lost - Family trapped in dinosaur time/land/dimension/something. 90's version. Space Cases - Also on Nick at around the time of these other shows. So Weird - Disney this time. Wonderful series. Love paranormal stuff. Surprising how many of my faves were kid shows. Edit: Also, Clarissa Explains It All and Kenan & Kel.

Coming up with a list? Nearly impossible! But based only on what I thought was worth it to buy on DVD alone....
* The Avengers (The Emma Peel years with the Cathy Gale years a close second. Never did warm up to Tara King) * The Man from UNCLE * The Wild, Wild, West * NCIS * Firefly * Farscape * Burn Notice * The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. * Doctor Who (Classic Series AND New Series) * The Real Ghostbusters (animated series and some of the BEST writing for an animated series in the 1980's) * Batman: The Animated Series * Superman: the Animated Series * Justice League and Justice League Unlimited

The Muppet Show
The Daily Show The Colbert Report This Hour Has 22 Minutes: in its prime, it was just as good or better than the above two.

Didn't that show get a remake in the US a little while ago? Anyone know if it's worth watching? (The remake that is. Loved the original)

Alias Angel Arrested Development As Time Goes By Babylon 5 Barney Miller The Big Valley Blackadder Bonanza Buffy the Vampire Slayer Doctor Who Dollhouse Firefly Frasier (first few seasons) Heroes (periodically) How I Met Your Mother Jeeves and Wooster (Fry & Laurie) Leverage Lost M*A*S*H Mystery Science Theater 3000 Newsradio Night Court (first few seasons) Northern Exposure (except the last season) The Odd Couple Spaced Star Trek (original) Taxi The Twilight Zone Veronica Mars WKRP in Cincinnati Xena: Warrior Princess The X-Files I didn't include sketch shows... if I did Monty Python, SCTV, In Living Color, The Kids in the Hall, and periodic versions of Saturday Night Live would be in there, too. My favorite shows on right now include Lost, Dollhouse, Leverage, HIMYM, Doctor Who, and Heroes might be creeping back on to the list. Oh, and Castle! My newest favorite.
