Default Why can't Beast be either hairless like early X-men or...

the Beast who befriended Wonder Man in the early days (below issue 200 of the original series)?

Looking like a cat, dog, or gerbil must be irritating to others. I HATE it personally. I liked the look he was rocking when he teamed up with Spiderman to battle Killer Shrike and the Robot-body guy in Marvel Team Up...probably Dr. Sun.

Why does Beast look like a Pound Puppy or anything other than his early hairless look?

It's not Morrison's fault. Sage initiated the transformation in X-Treme X-Men.

I prefer hairless (relatively), barefoot Hank.

I'm not even sure what he's supposed to be looking like in the SWORD preview.

They really need to get him back to the Anthropoidea suborder.

You know I was thinking that after seeing good ol Hank being blue for many years I would have thought we see the return of the hairless ape with the big feet and hands.

I think marvel should combine these looks & make Beast a completely new one.

Maybe Hank needs to get in on this "red" craze.

Red Hulk.
Red She-Hulk.
Red Beast!

Yeah, the X-treme X-men issue in which Beast leaves the team came out after New X-men but took place before it.

The Beast did return briefly to his original appearence for a while in the original X-factor series, but I think his intelligence also went down as well to Savage Hulk levels.Eventually he got blue, furry, and intelligent again.

that had nothing to do with him returning to human form. He was still intelligent after he lost the fur. What made him get dumber was being touched by Pestilence in Fall of the Mutants. She used her powers to give him an infection

I hate cat-face Beast. Ever since he went cat-face, I can't even stomach him as a character.
