Default Immortal Weapons #4 *Spoilers*

The latest issue of Immortal Weapons hit the stands today, featuring Tiger's Beautiful Daughter. A fairly straight forward origin tale for the Bride, but told well enough with some great art. The Duane penned back up tale with Danny was written well, but the art suffered again without Travel Foreman's pencils. Overall a fun issue but it didn't pack quite the punch that the proceeding 3 issues did. Here's hoping the Prince of Orphans one shot wraps the mini series up on a high note.

It was straightfoward, dull, and predictable. I liked the art (was it just me, or were Evans' pencils looser than normal?), but the rest of it . . . eh.

I might skip this one. The Fat Cobra issue was great, but issues #2 and #3 were just okay, and not quite worth the cover price. For $3+ an issue, I want both good art and a good story.

Well, this blows. I've noticed a marked decrease in quality as compared to the old IIF title (which was already on a decrease from the Aja days).

Well it really doesn't help if Marvel insists on putting inferior writers and artists on the book.

They should have given IIF to a high caliber writer like Aaron when Fraction left instead of someone like Swierczynski.

This was my favourite issue since the first one. Surprisingly, in a lot of ways, given that Tiger's Beautiful Daughter is one of the vaguest characters (only Dog Brother had as little description) in the original introduction.

Liked that they gave her a name, too.

Have to admit, I only just glanced through this issue today. Tiger's Beautiful Daughter's background somewhat reminded me of the DCU's Amazons. Still, I have to say the art was alright and just perfect in some places, especially when it came to depicting just how, well, hot Tiger's Beautiful Daughter could be.

Swierczynski wasn't the issue. I'd still love for Aaron to take over, he's my favourite current writer. But it wouldn't have changed anything from a sales point of view. Aaron's currently telling the best Ghost Rider story EVER, and they still cant get readers onto the book.

I never considered Fraction to be the major selling point of the book either. In my eyes it was initially Brubaker hyping IIF to all hell (god less him) and everyone stayed for Aja's art. I think a lot of fans are indifferent to Fraction's recent work anyway, and at the same time as IIF his Punisher ranged from average to outright unreadable. Just my opinion though.

i have not been that impressed with any of the immortal weapon issues or their stories. Maybe my expectations were too high. These characters had great introductions in the Immortal Iron Fist. To bad the characters creators could not tell their origins.

Frankly, I thought they were more interesting with less of an established "origin" and background.

The only one I really liked was the Fat Cobra issue. The others have just been meh.

I thought Fat Cobra was awesome. Dog Brother #1 was also good. Bride of Nine Spiders flat out sucked and Tiger's Beautiful Daughter failed to take full advantage of a really cool idea.

Also? When a character has a really cool costume (the cerimonial garb) you should instead draw her in T&A rags... Lame.

And the back ups went from great art to unfitting art out of nowhere. Iron Fist shouldn't be short and stalky. He's tall and lean. I just don't get that editorial deacision.

I guess the writers did not really take their time to invest in the characters to establish a name for the weapons unlike how the weapons were introduced. Though Fat Cobra's issue tops them all for now..i just hope Prince of Orphans wraps them up with a big bang because the character is a legend among the weapons.
