Yes yes, they're the same character ... but whoever, they're different to me.
Who did you like more? The young, cheeky and intelligent Layla Miller who possessed an abilty to know things before they happened. Or the older, stronger, and more mature Layla who possessed "things" in general -as Madrox referred to them- and an interesting new spin (read #50!).

Well, previously I expressed the opinion on these boards that I preferred "young" Layla, but in return I was subject to a cutting psychological analysis that made me think I probably shouldn't have said so.
So "old" |

On the whole, I just think she works better as an adolescent. It makes her a stronger and more interesting character in my opinion.

I love BOTH Laylas. Young one was fun cus she was creepy and mysterious. But the older one has the same spunk and smarminess that we loved in the young one too. We just get less "okie dokies" and dont hear the phrase "I know stuff" so often.
The only thing less fun about Adult Layla is that we know a little bit more about her. Kinda like Christmas. The build-up is almost always more fun than the ending. So I'll vote Young Layla. But I definitely still love Adult Layla too.

You're threatened by the idea that women can grow up. You'd prefer them infantilized and non-threatening, with a Lolita sexuality that can be taken advantage of rather than a sexuality with its own agency (Psylocke).

I liked young Layla a lot. She was a fun character who had some great moments but I like the progression in the character that has come with older Layla. If I had to choose though I would say young Layla. Her mysterious nature and knowing stuff always left me wanting more.

I thought she was more fun as a ridiculous little girl who outsmarted the best of X-factor, but I think she's more respectable as a character when she's old.

Ugh. I hated the one written by Bendis. It was not supremely cool to meet her.
I think kid Layla has a lot more charm. I loved when she did stuff like make those four taxis crash and when she told M to take off the manhole cover to make the car crash. All the recent storyline did is make me hate time-travel stories even more. I haven't read the XF 50 thread, and I'm not saying i hated it, but I find it hard to believe that PAD didn't ever plan Layla as a clairvoyant-type.

Old Layla Miller is lame and not the standout character her young counterpart was.
