Something I threw together in my head right now. A modern version of the classic Defenders team against an Avengers team made up out of three members from each other four current teams (New, Mighty Dark & Young).

So here are the rosters.

Mixed Avengers: Iron Patriot, Ares, Captain Marvel (Noh-varr), Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, Spider-man, Wasp (Hank Pym), Hercules, Quicksilver, Speed, Wiccan and Hulkling

vs.

Modern Defenders

Doctor Voodoo: As the new sorcerer supreme he stands in for Stephen Strange.

Skaar: With the Hulk currently unavailable and this guy being the least evil of the jerkass Hulk-creatures running around Skaar takes his father's place.

Firelord: Silver Surfer is now on feeding Galactus duty, so is Stardust. Terrax is evil and all the other heralds are pretty much dead. In goes Firelord and the herald-representative.

Namor: Still alive. Still an on-again off-again hero/anti-hero/villain. Still a douchebag. Still ass-kicking. No reason to get in someone new.

Danielle Moonstar: The only active person I could think of with valkyrie powers at the moment. She's gets her pegasus and her powers are on the level they were in Utopia.

So which team wins?

Voodoo hasn't really shown anything like autoshields such that Quicksilver or Speed couldn't blitz the guy out. They are however the only ones that they can do that do, and Firelord tossing off AoE blasts is going to kill everyone but Hercules on team mixed.

At that point he's more than a bit outnumbered.
