The Bugs (Starship Troopers) vs. Fist of the North Star
A mischievous god decides to make Kenshiro's world a little bit more miserable by teleporting 10,000,000 warrior bugs and 1,000,000 tankers into the world. What happens?
Movie version bugs. Have read the Heinlein novel but it's been 10 years or so. |

Well, they can be cut up by machine gun fire as well as burned and blown up with grenades. Their main strength is in numbers, which, as Mailedbypostman points out, finally alleviates the food shortage in 20XX.
