Default Pyrrhic victory vs. Desired defeat

Victories that end up costly, disastrous, and overall uncool as in "Goddamn it, the bitch I just owned managed to make my life hell 10 times more! *shoots himself*"

OR

Defeats that end up as wanted, planned, and I daresay arousing as in "Oh yeah, I wouldn't mind going down to this hot bitch *creams pants*".

I watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog yesterday, so I'd say pyrrhic victory.

I don't understand the question. They are usually the ying and yang of epics/tragedies.

Are we supposed to pick which we would rather have for ourself or which is the better part of story telling.

To quote Dag Hammarskjöld: "Life yields only to the conqueror. Never accept what can be gained by giving in. You will be living off stolen goods, and your muscles will atrophy."

In light of this: VICTORY! oO
