I got a big book at the dollar store when I was a little kid (some time between 89-93), I thought it was a coloring book but it turned out to be a big comic. It was comedic sword a sorcery. It starred a little anti-hero creature that went on a big adventure, and it was black and white. I know that sounds like Cerebus, and I thought that had to be it too, but a lot of the bits I remember are nowhere to be found in the Cerebus books (could be some Cerebus knock-off?). Here are some points I remember:
- The main character looks like Cerebus, but he sort of has batwing ears. - In the beginning of the story the main character is sent off to do something by a village and has to climb over a huge hill and I think he accidentally starts dropping stuff. - He meets some mouse head dude with his foot stuck in the ground, and his foot is in the ground because some little monster is holding onto it. - He runs into a witch in a little house, who I think gave the other guy the mouse head. - He enters a castle at some point and finds a dragon. The dragon is a good guy. - There was a magic mirror involved. - He meets a hot chick who sort of resembles Red Sophia. - At the very ending of the book it changes to colored pages and it shows the main fellow and the Sophia look-alike in a bar in some winter setting. They are setting up their next adventure. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this, or is this really Cerebus and I've missed those parts somehow? |
