If you had to combine Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach into one series how would you go about it? You can retcon things, change the focus of the story and the like as long as in the end they are merged into one series.

Everyone searches for the One Tail, which is locked in a parallel dimension, or possibly the moon. Whoever find it first becomes the Spirit King.

I suspect it involves most of Soul Society getting the everloving hell beaten out of them by the strawhats with some help from Naruto.

Alright it would be like this:

One Piece the legendary treasure of the late Pirate King Gold D. Roger. It is said that whoever finds it shall have power beyond their wildest dreams.

Cutting a path of blood against those who would dare oppose them the World Government and their enforcers the Soul Reapers expand their territory and covertly seek the legendary treasure.

Opposing them stand the elemental countries, and while they put on a mask of kindness all is not well. Ninjas move in the shadows assassinating the political rivals of their masters as each of the elemental countries tries to gain supremacy over the other.

In the middle of the two stand the pirates both good and bad. A diverse group of lawless outcasts that have made the seas their home. Some pillage and plunder towns, while others put their hopes on Once Piece. A few care not for either thing and just want to have a good time in the sea.

Monkey D. Luffy has always wanted to be a pirate and as soon as he is sixteen he sets out to the seas. Inspired by his encounter with a pirate named Shanks, He is determined to find One Piece and become the new Pirate King. Unknown to him dark forces are moving and his journey will change the history of the world

Ichigo Kurosaki, heir to the noble Kurosaki family, has just joined the ranks of his ancestors. Through a series of events outside of his control he becomes the unwilling and unknowing pawn of Aizen. Accompanied by Hinamori and Rangiku, He embarks to search One Piece.

Naruto Uzumaki, a ninja that has grown tired of the constant wars with the World Government and infighting between the elemental countries. Tired of seeing his friends used as tools for nobles. He hold the mightiest demon in his body, but even with that he knows he lacks the power to change the world. Abandoning his friends and village he embarks on a journey for the legendary One Piece. On his journey the mad priest Hidan somehow becomes his companion.

These three young men will start a revolution.
They will fight.
Their dreams will clash.
And at the end only one will stand above the heavens.

Yeah that's about it. Maybe a bit over dramatic, but it works I think.

One Piece storyline, except Kakashi joins the Straw Hats (after they visit the island where all the ninja now live and beat the hell out of Sasuke). Maybe Urahara can join up too, if we really need a representative from all series.

Nothing against Bleach or Naruto, I just like OP much, much more.
